  2. I like this housing a lot and therefore i ordered it and i can’t wait to receive it. But one should be aware of some things:

    * I think too many functions of the housing are optional: switching AF/MF, rear AF button and lens release button. In my opinion these options should be included in the standard price.
    * the button for spot-, weighted center- and full fieldmeasuring cannot be controlled with this housing, which is in my point of view a pity.

For the rest i like the posibility to control the main functions with one hand so you can have one hand free and i also like their round design. Domeports etc are not as ridiculously pricely as some other brands because they use acryl domeports. Scratches can easily be removed with i cheap polishing set for removing scratches from your cellphone display.

I also heard rumours that they’re working together with Inon on a 45 degree magnifying viewfinder.

Once i have my housing i’ll try to write a review about it.

    cheers, Udo

  3. oh yeah, one thing i forgot to mention. It’s more general, but i think that hugyfot should update their website with more information about their housings, ports, accesoires etc. It’s not easy to get a grip on this.

  5. i don’t know if there’s any dealer in the US. You should contact the people at Hugyfot directly via their info address on their website. In general they reply within a day.

  6. Marine Camera Distributors (http://www.marinecamera.com) in San Diego is a U.S. distributor for Hugyfot. I bought a Hugyfot housing for a Panasonic LC-1 a year and a half ago from them, and I now have a D200 housing on order; they’ve been very easy to work with.

  8. I am concerned that there isn’t any way to change the WB on this housing? The button is on the top of the camera on the right of the viewfinder. This is rather an important control for UW shooting.

  9. According to what the people at hugyfot promised me, the three buttons on the left of the viewfinder (WB,Qual and ISO) will be accesible. There is a knob on top of the housing that can be turned, i don’t know how it’s going to work on the inside, but i assume the people at Hugyfot know how to manage with this. Also the buttons on the right of the viewfinder (mode and +/-) are accesible.
If it turns out that the WB is not changable via the top buttons you still can change it via the menu, which of course wouldn’t be a very elegant solution.
But Alex, i would expect that you’d shoot in RAW anyway? Or am i wrong?
