PRESS RELEASE

Ocean Brite Systems and Equinox Underwater Products are proud to announce the pending release of our new AFFORDABLE Housing for the Canon EOS 300D, the Nikon D70, the Canon Powershot Pro 1, the Nikon Coolpix 8700 and the Olympus C8080Z Digital Cameras. The Housings will become available as the Digital Cameras become available in the USA market, the first being the Canon 300D Digital Rebel Housing with shipments commencing in April 2004.

The Housing has a Polyurethane Body, Clear Acrylic Rear Plate, and a 4” Optical Quality Acrylic Dome Port with controls for all the major functions of the various cameras mentioned above.

We have also developed an AFFORDABLE Flash Housing for a E-TTL Flash usable by all the cameras with a E-TTL Slave Flash that will allow the user to have a dual TTL flash system for underwater use at an attractive price.

These fine new products will be available for shipment beginning April of 2004 and we will be demonstrating them at the following Consumer Dive Shows during the year: Beneath the Sea: Secaucus, New Jersey-March 26-28, Scuba Show: Long Beach, California: May 22-23 & Seaspace: Houston, Texas: June 4-7.

  1. The URL says that the housing is a TTL flash housing.  I’m not sure what that means, since the Canon 300D does not support TTL.  Should it be E-TTL?

  2. I confirmed with Jim—it it a flash housing for an E-TTL flash.
