During a shoot to document daily migration patterns of Mastigias jellies in Palau, Mark Thorpe and John Friday tested the field effectiveness of three underwater housings for the RED One Digital Cinema Camera. The housings were manufactured by AquaVideo, Gates, and an AquaVideo base housing retrofitted by Joe Ortega (SL Cine / Element Technica). Mark and John have written up a comprehensive document outlining the pros and cons of each housing. In addition, Nick Martorano has posted video clips of the big housings in action.
