Underwater Photography Magazine Issue 41 is now available for download. That’s Peter Rowlands shot of a young manatee with severe propeller scars on the cover of UWP #41. I’m glad he chose a shot of his for the cover and I believe it shows while it is easy to look at and love endearing manatee photographs - Peter’s photograph here shows what really needs to change. How can we continue doing this to such curious, peaceful and docile mammals?
Plus he took this with a compact camera (that he had along in addition to his HD Video). So you don’t have to have “boo-koo” $$$ of u/w equipment to capture a compelling manatee photograph and make a difference.
