Share the Photo of the Week (POTW)

The POTW contest at Wetpixel is generating some fantastic imagery whose quality rivals some of the best published images out there. But did you know that you can embed the Photo of the Week into your own webpage? It's as easy as copying a bit of HTML into your website's code.

There are two versions of the embeddable POTW web widget. One always shows the last POTW winner, and the other is keyed to a specific user at Wetpixel. The user-specific version shows only the latest image entered by that user into the POTW, and features the user's screen name prominently.

This widget has been tested in Firefox, IE 6+, Safari, and Opera.

To embed the Wetpixel POTW into your own webpage, paste the following HTML into your webpage:

If you would like to embed the Wetpixel POTW into your Wordpress sidebar, you can use a plugin created by Cor Bosman.

If you'd like to control your own layout, you may optionally specify the additional parameter "css=0" in the src include URL. This will bypass the default, inlined CSS styles and allow you to specify your own.

For example, to include the latest POTW widget with default CSS styles turned off, you would include the following HTML instead of the code given above:

For your convenience, here are the default styles that we use for our presentation. To make your own look and feel, modify them and include them above the widget include code.

Note that by using the Wetpixel POTW widget, you agree to include the text, "Photo of the Week" and "Powered by Wetpixel.com" in your implementation.
