MANTA FEST 2008
Location: Manta Ray Bay Hotel, Yap, Micronesia
Join photo pro Eric Cheng and video pro Mike Veitch at Manta Fest 2008 in Yap, Micronesia, for 15 days this coming September, 2008! The Manta Fest dive package includes 14 nights' accommodation and 11 dive days, but packages of any length are available, with flexible dates.
Eric and Mike will be at Manta Ray Bay between September 3-17, 2008, and will be both diving and teaching classroom seminars on various photography and videography topics. Eric Hanauer arrives for the second Manta Fest session, which runs from September 17 to October 2, 2008.
Obviously, Yap is known for its manta ray activity, and it is certainly the mantas that we will be primarily diving for. But Yap also features healthy reefs, and you should also expect to see mating mandarinfish, anemones/anemonefish, nudibranches, lionfish, cardinalfish, anthias by the thousands, and more!
Eric Cheng is the editor and publisher of Wetpixel.com and Wetpixel Quarterly magazine. Mike Veitch has been the photo/video pro at Manta Ray Bay resort for 3 years.

Standard room: $2,479 per person (double occupancy)
Ocean View room: $2,629 per person
Deluxe Ocean View room: $3,239 per person7-night / 5 dive-day package (10 dives)
Standard room: $1,229 per person (single or double occupancy)
Ocean View room: $1,309 per person
Deluxe Ocean View room: $1,649 per person
This prices include room, tax, airport transfers, dives, a daily breakfast package and admission to all events and presentations. 30% surcharge for single occupancy. Discounted rates for non-divers and group bookings (8+) are available.
Additional dives are also available and are charged by the resort on location.
Although the best experience will be to book the entire Manta Fest session, you may book any combination of days that overlap with the festival.
