Wetpixel Ultimate Indonesia Expeditions, March/April 2009
Join Eric Cheng and Indonesia dive-guide extraordinaire Graham Abbott in two chartered expeditions to Indonesia designed especially for serious photographers. Instead of hopping around from dive site to dive site, we will take our time with a flexible itinerary designed to give us a lot of time at areas that are rockin' with life.
We'll be aboard the Seven Seas, a fantastic luxury liveaboard vessel.

In just one trip to Indonesia (with Graham, in Ambon), I captured all of the images on this page. Indonesia is a fantastic place for both wide-angle and macro photography, so be sure to bring equipment for both!
EXPEDITION #1 We'll depart Sorong (Raja Ampat area of Indonesia) and spend an entire day in the blue water mangroves to the west before continuing on to Halmahera, where we'll spend 9 days exploring. A day in Seram breaks up our steam to Ambon, where we'll spend 3 more days critter diving. |
EXPEDITION #2 We'll depart Ambon for the long steam through the Banda Sea to Gunung Api island, where we'll look for the large, resident population of sea kraits (snakes -- as featured in BBC's Planet Earth series). After 4-5 days, we'll steam to Alor, continuing on for world-class critter diving in Pantar, E. Flores, and finally, Maumere. |

There are also a couple of long crossings, and crossing times are subject to weather conditions.

To book, please fill out the booking form and pay the $500 deposit using Paypal, check, or wire transfer. Your reservation is not confirmed until we receive both a booking form and a deposit.
The Seven Seas has 2 top-deck suites with double beds (for couples), which are available for a surcharge of $750 per person ($1500 per couple). We may also have a single available on the 1st trip (single supplement applies). If you are interested in the suites or a single, please inform Dan when you book.
