The Wetpixel/DivePhotoGuide Underwater Imaging Industry Cocktail Party.

The Wetpixel/DivePhotoGuide annual DEMA cocktail party was held last night at the Las Vegas Hilton. Renowned for raucous behaviour, and infamous for the hotel security being called two years ago, the party kicked off at 7pm in the slightly hard to find Pavilion suite 9 in the Las Vegas Hilton. Despite there being many events going on, over 300 people found their way and partied on to a DJ till late in the night.

Hi Eric, thanks for your comment. We specifically avoided using Flash for all photos of new equipment (which we saw as the most important content), and only used it for embedded galleries of social photos. There were simply too many photos for the cocktail party and the people and places roundup to place in the images inline, and unfortunately all of the major photo hosting services (Flickr, Smugmug, Photoshelter) have embeddable galleriers that are based on Flash. I hope this changes soon, as I share your frustration as I do most of my browsing on iPad and generally block flash on my desktop as the performance is terrible.

Posted by FLAFROG on 2010-11-20 21:08:07 Serving shark fin soup at the hotel were most of the dive industry guests stayed deserves it's own thread guys. We walked out the night before when we saw it on the menu. How in the hell can this happen? We have a lot more work to do.
