Wetpixel member Martyn Guess has posted this lovely image of massive shoals of baitfish hugging the reef at Two Tree Rock, Raja Ampat on the Wetpixel Facebook Group. It was taken in November last year on a Martin Edge workshop aboard the Dewi Nusantara liveaboard. Martyn comments:

“The dive - the first of the trip was meant to be a check out! I have dived the site many times and have never seen it so rich with massive shoals of baitfish followed by a huge amount of predators. We stayed all day!”

It was taken with a Nikon D800 with a Nikon 16mm f2.8 fisheye, housed in a Nauticam housing and Zen 230mm dome. Lighting was with two Subtronic 270 strobes, set as far apart as possible to throw the light out as wide as possible. Camera settings were 1/160@f16, ISO400.
