Colombia Announces Ban on Shark Fishing

Colombia’s President Iv├ín Duque has announced that artisanal and commercial shark fishing within Colombia’s waters will be prohibited. In addition, he announced that those affected will be able to replace their income derived from shark fishing by receiving payments for “environmental services”.
