  1. Nauticam just released the port chart for N100 RF mount, it definitely will work with WWL-1. Here's the link: https://www.nauticam.com/pages/n100-canon-rf-mount-port-chart Im really intrigued how this camera system will perform underwater. Specs are promising especially it has the same autofocus as R3 and decent 32MP!
  2. I’ve been reading about the recently released R7 and seems it has great potential for underwater photo. They say that it has the same autofocus as R3. With the 32MP, i wonder how will it perform in low light conditions though i reckon this will be solved by having a focus light. Nauticam has also released a housing. Im very intrigued in this camera. With the topside reviews recently, i wonder if this can be great value APS-C underwater photo camera? Keen on hearing everyone’s thoughts Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I appreciate your thoughts, Phil! highly appreciated. I have been contemplating few options recently to upgrade from my Panasonic GH5. Video is excellent and relatively a smaller to travel. I just find the photo lacking in performance especially autofocus in macro. 1. Sony A7IV - I plan to get the marelux housing if I go the Sony route. for lens, I plan to start with 28-60mm with a wet lens. For macro, i'm still choosing between Sony 90mm or Sigma 10. This seems to be the front runner as of now. I've been reading a lot of positives about this camera. 2. Nikon D850 - My local dive shop offered me a great deal for a brand new S&S housing. Given this, i am being swayed to go the SLR route. Though I hear your sentiments on future proofing especially that I will be spending similar amount considering ports, vacuum, viewfinders etc. 3. Canon R6 - I was intrigued by the animal eye tracking reviews. The only reservations I have is the 20MP resolution since I mostly shoot macro. 4. Nikon Z7II/Z6II - Seems in the bottom of my list now, I agree with your thoughts. The housing + camera will be more expensive than A7IV that has better autofocus.
  4. Hi Phil, I'm curious to know your thoughts, if you were to build a new set today and choosing between Nikon D850, Z7II or Sony A7IV (all in similar price points) what would you choose?

  12. Hi there wetpixel friends. Ive been contemplating for month now which rig to get. I am a hobbyist at uwphoto and looking to get a better rig and keep my TG6 as back-up camera. After numerous hours of research online and watching videos. Its now down to two choices for me. Either get the Olympus EPL10 AOI housing and camera or a Panasonic GH5/Ii rig with 8mm panasonic lens and 60mm olympus macro set up. I frequent macro shots but I also have a Maldives Deep South Liveaboard in Feb 2023. Going for Olympus EPL10 seems to be a more economical choice. Backscatter has pushed this model and I think its sound for an upgrade. Though my concern is the video capability, as I really want to capture also videos in low light, ambient lighting conditions. This is my biggest hesitation (especially for deep south) where I reckon ill be doing some dives with no lights. I’m tempted to bite the bullet and go for the GH5. Obviously its a more expensive choice, though I am thinking that it has a lot more room for growth. It has great video quality especially in ambient light conditions. And i think its also better for macro compared to my TG6. I have 2 YS-D2 strobes and set of video lights. Are there other MFT models that’s worth to consider in my case? I Keen on hearing everyone’s thoughts. Thanks a lot! Zo Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
