  1. Thanks for the feedback Islandbound. I have doen enough research and thinking. Decidied to push the schedule a little earlier and make the jump to DSLR. i am getting the Canon 5D, in an Ikelite housing / strobes setup. After I weighed the costs/ tradeoffs etc it just made more sense. I appreciate your honest thoughts on the sealife system. gjwagner
  2. Hello, Going to PNG for month of June. Will do 11 days diving on Stardancer / Walindi combo. A lot of Lake Michigan diving, some Florida keys and local midwest through the fall. I am new to UW photo but have about 10 years film exp w/Canon EOS system. Will be ready to make the financial jump to the pro level Caon DSLR (w/housing, strobes etc) by Nov/Dec. Until then I have heard several good things about and seen pretty images taken with the Sealife DC600. It offers 6.1MP and comes in a package setup including 24mm wide angle and dual flash. Price around $1400. This seems like a good option to let me get the feel for digital / flash UW for under $1.5K. Any thoughts would be appreciated!! gjwagner http://www.sealife-cameras.com/cameras/dc600_specs.html
