  2. Ignore this post and instead look at my "re do" here: There were numerous tech problems with this post, including the list of equipment was an image that couldn't be seen on tablets or smart phones. Sorry about that.
  3. Complete lightweight, compact kit. All items are new or used once, on 10/28/21. Items used on 10/28/21 all worked fine. Never went, but bought the equipment in advance. Finally got back into water last month and found out UW photography takes more concentration and buoyancy skill than I have. I have substantial ear-clearing problems requiring physician consultation/scripts, and which force me to make a lot of depth changes, challenging my fairly rudimentary buoyancy maintenance skills. UW photography is a further complication I just don't need. Best online prices I could find for all these items as of 10/31/21 totaled $2706 + tax. Offering the whole kit for $1,595. Buyer chooses/pays for shipping method.
  4. I bought all of the items below, for use with a Sony RX100 VI or VII (not included), just before/during COVID lockdown, planning to attend an UW photography workshop on Saba Island in 2020. It was cancelled, of course. Last month, I dove for the 1st time since 2019 and tried out -- on only one dive -- the housing, tray, video light and wide angle lens. All worked fine but I quickly realized that, with my ear clearing and buoyancy control problems, I'm hopeless as a UW photographer. So I'm selling the whole kit, all pieces used either once or never. Nearly all pieces still have the original packaging. See attached photos and chart below. Current lowest cost online for all this stuff is $2,706. I'm asking 40% less = $1,625. Buyer chooses/pays for shipping method. It's a great deal for a whole UW photography package, new or used once. LB UW photo eqpt-reduced file.pdf
  5. Thanks Tim! I'm putting it up for sale now. Linda
  6. I love that movie. Many non-divers have recommended it to me. It seems to speak to everybody.
  7. Hi Tim, I'm sort of in the same boat (pun intended!) in that I bought a whole UW kit for my Sony RX100 VII last year when I thought I was going to do a weeklong UW photography class with a dive master I know on Saba Island. Class postponed due to COVID and last month I tried some of the stuff on one dive on a trip to Hawaii, my first diving since 2019. I was surprised by how difficult UW photography is, given my ear clearing and buoyancy problems that prevent me from getting stationary for a shot. So I'm about to list a simpler and less expensive RX100VII kit than yours. I first contacted Backscatter, who sold me most of the stuff last year. Here's some advice excerpted from an email response from Tom at Backscatter: Best of luck. Linda
  8. I'm Linda from Silverthorne, CO (mountain town near Breckenridge). I've been certified since 2011 and I dive 2-3 weeks/year. Favorite places are Fiji, Indonesia and Saba Island (the Caribbean's "Unspoiled Queen"). In 2019, I signed up for a fall 2020 weeklong photo workshop in Saba and bought all the UW photo gear in early 2020. Workshop never happened. I got back in water for first time last month, tried out some of the equipment, and found my problems with ear clearing and buoyancy control make underwater photography very problematic.
