Anybody tried the Tokina 12-28mm F4?
os65 replied to pachku's topic in Photography Gear and Technique
Here's a link to some pics taken with this lens. I didn't have a zoom ring for it so I only used it at fixed 12 mm behind a Sea & Sea compact wide port (L) flat port. With a zoom ring it would be a nice general purpose lens. https://www.flickr.com/photos/29878916@N03/albums/72157664339204016 -
Also dived Faial a week last September and agree with Erik that the princes Alice Bank dives with the Mobulas were excellent, although the ride there took more than three hours one way in a crowded rib. The mobulas are most likely to be seen during Jul-Sep. Otherwise not so much fish life underwater. We used Diveazores for our dives (www.diveazores.net). Some pictures from Faial can be seen here http://www.flickr.com/photos/29878916@N03/sets

Bare dome vs. compact dome vs. zen dome for S & S MDX
os65 replied to Larry C's topic in Photography Gear and Technique
Hi, I have used Zen minidome couple of times with MDX D300 and Tokina 10-17 and been satisfied with the results as compared to my S&S fisheye port. Here's some pictures from my last dive. http://www.flickr.com/photos/29878916@N03/...57629358131259/ -
Here's another from the same team. http://vimeo.com/24768030

Just tested mine with nikon D300. Same phenomenon you mentioned earlier. Tries and jitter and occasionally locks focus but most of the time fails. -
I stayed at Liberty Dive Resort for couple of weeks in March (www.libertydiveresort.com/) (www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g469406-d1788685-Reviews-Liberty_Dive_Resort-Tulamben_Bali.html). Good value for money, personal diveguides, good location etc.

Thanks ! - Tulamben was every bit as good as I had hoped for and actually suprised me by the number of sea life and species that could be found there.

Hi, I have mostly been enjoying here all other wetpixelians' work. So maybe its time to contribute something myself too. Here's a few pics from Tulamben at the turn of March/April. _DSC6691 by osksun, on Flickr _DSC6630 by osksun, on Flickr _DSC6717 by osksun, on Flickr url=http://www.flickr.com/photos/29878916@N03/5675014035/][/url] _DSC6758 by osksun, on Flickr _DSC6942 by osksun, on Flickr

Looking for batteries for Nikonos SB-104
os65 replied to Ideas in Blue's topic in Lights, Strobes, and Lighting Technique
Hi, If you can't find a replacement it's not too difficult to refurbish them even by yourself. Here is a link to a thread that might be useful. http://wetpixel.com/forums/index.php?showt...art=#entry49888 -
Beautiful pictures - strange looking hairy sea horse. I enjoyed your other galleries, too.

Nice pictures as always. Maybe you should visit the wrecks and murky waters of Baltic sea for high ISO challenge ;-) -
MDX300 and Inon Z240 work fine together.

My battery pack died so I replaced the cells inside the casing with higher capacity NiCd cells after reading the following thread. They have also used NiMh. http://wetpixel.com/forums/index.php?showt...art=#entry50264

Nice, harmonic picture. Maybe the sun could have been slightly higher relative to the pipefish.
