  1. This was great! I love that you got straight to the point and didn't drag it out. Most YouTubers would have made this a 10 minute video, but I really appreciated how succinct it was!
  2. Thanks so much for your reply, Chris. I really appreciate the insight and everything you said makes a lot of sense. Much appreciated!
  3. Hi all, My GoPro Hero5 recently flooded. I had used it underwater only twice in the 19 months I have had it, never abused it, and had all ports shut securely. Both times it was submerged in fresh water only about 3 feet deep, without an additional housing (the Hero5 is supposed to be waterproof to 10m/33ft without a supplemental housing). Because it is out of warranty, GoPro won't replace my camera, but they offered me 40% off a new Hero5 or Hero6. I'm honestly not sure I want to buy another GoPro - one of the features I liked about it was that it was supposed to be waterproof without an additional housing - but I did find that the cam filled a few small niches and am considering replacing it. I have read a number of reviews with other users having the same issue - water gets in the camera even when doors are completely shut and the camera is used at shallow depths - and am wondering if the Hero6 has a better track record in this regard. Can anyone comment on their experience using a GoPro Hero5 or Hero6 underwater (particularly in shallow water without an additional housing)? I don't have a dedicated underwater setup, and am not purchasing a GoPro primarily for underwater use (I like it as a super portable pocket camera that I can use with gloves on in the winter and as a wearable POV cam for some activities), but I like having the option. Thanks in advance!
  4. Reduced to $400 shipped, and will consider reasonable offers.
  5. I recently saw this on Upworthy and thought it was a very well done video. I'm glad to see this issue coming up in the popular media. You guys obviously know a lot about this issue already, but I felt it was worth sharing. Warning, there is a good bit of profanity and graphic imagery. http://www.upworthy.com/hells-kitchen-gordon-ramsay-eats-a-145-bowl-of-torture-soup?c=ufb1
  6. I have for sale a complete Panasonic GF-1 package. It includes the Panasonic GF-1 camera in excellent condition, the 14-45mm lens, and the original box and all of the original accessories that came with the camera, plus a 52mm circular polarizing filter for the lens. This camera has not seen much use, but does have some scuffs on the lens hood. It is clean and in excellent working order. My asking price is $425 shipped in the continental USA, but I am willing to entertain reasonable offers on this item.
  7. Stephen, I do accept PayPal. I wil send you a PM.
  8. Would you consider a trade for a Panasonic GF-1 and 14-45mm lens? Includes all original packaging and accessories plus extra 52mm circular polarizer.
  9. Excellent condition Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF1K camera with 14-45mm f/3.5-5.6 zoom lens for sale. This kit is in great shape and has been used very little. I've never had any issues whatsoever with the camera or lens. I am including all of the original accessories, including box, cables, battery, charger, and manuals, plus I will throw in a 52mm circular polarizing filter to fit the lens. $450 plus shipping and any fees. Email me if you are interested.
  10. I have a low mileage Canon 7D in excellent condition. This camera has primarily served as a backup and has just 3,215 actuations. It is very clean, with two small cosmetic scuffs on it that distinguish it from brand new. I have never had any problems with this camera whatsoever. It comes in its original box with all of the original accessories, many still in plastic wrap. $990 plus shipping and any fees. Please email me if you are interested.
  11. I have the following items for sale. Everything listed is in great condition. Please email me if interested. Panasonic GF-1 and 14-45mm lens Excellent condition Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF1K camera with 14-45mm f/3.5-5.6 zoom lens for sale. This kit is in great shape and has been used very little. I've never had any issues whatsoever with the camera or lens. I am including all of the original accessories, including box, cables, battery, charger, and manuals, plus I will throw in a 52mm circular polarizing filter to fit the lens. $450. Canon 7D I'm selling a minimally used Canon 7D in excellent condition. This camera has primarily served as a backup and has been used very little. I have never had any problems with it whatsoever, and it has always been well cared for. It comes with the box and all of the original accessories, most still wrapped in plastic, since the camera uses the same charger and cables as my 5D Mark II. $990. Canon 500D Close-up Filter 77mm This is in MINT condition. I may have used this lens once, and I've decided to move back to having a dedicated macro lens, so this needs a new home. $125. Nikon Clear NC Filter 77mm This clear protective filter has barely been used. It has no color cast whatsoever and is very high optical quality with no scratches or dings. Comes in its original case. $65.
  12. Might be interested if previous sales fall through, although its out of my price range at the moment. Can you send me photos of the setup and sample images taken with the setup?
  13. Yea, I'm definitely just enjoying it and still only have a few dives under my belt so need to continue to work on my buoyancy control, etc. I'm also always using borrowed gear, so investing in my own dive kit is a priority, and then once I have that I can learn the finer parts of diving and control... THEN comes the camera. But in the meantime I am looking. I wouldn't mind shooting while snorkeling or skin diving to get used to taking photos underwater. But just doing SCUBA and exploring the world underneath the surface is a pleasure in itself.
