  1. Hoele much for just the housing?
  2. I've had no problems with my Ikelite Canon 20D housing and it's gone at 180 feet and miles back into caves. I have had problems with the older dual sync cords, but the newer ones look like they address the problem of the cord getting pinched and breaking. I do worry about how deep I can really take it and if there is some flexibility that 200 ft depth rating. I have some wrecks that I want to shot in the 250 to 300 range and I'm not quite brave enough to take it that deep yet.
  3. Let me take the time and apologize for the behavior of our current "government" and it's policies. We keep making it difficult for people to come here and then wonder why it's affecting our standing in the world. I wonder how the airlines feel about this, if they make it difficult they will see their ridership fall...quickly.
  4. I'm looking for a IKELITE Remote TTL Slave #4100 for use with my NON-digital Ikelite strobe. These are the orange ones, see the attached picture and let me know if you have one for sale, I flooded mine this week.
  5. This one? http://www.xsscuba.com/wh_carryon.html How much and what can you fit into it?
  6. Simply awesome. Way more than I expected! The best part is that I have most of those parts already.
  7. You have a picture of how you did this? I was planning on having the diver hand hold the strobe and pointing it in the right direction or I was going to mount the strobe flat along one of the tanks with an argon strap. I never thought about mounting a ball and arm so that I could point it up and then back down for the tighter section. I'm just unclear how I would mount it. Are you screwing this ball joint into the portion of the extended screw on the tank band? I did buy the 3' extension cord based on your recommendation.
  8. Works just fine on my 17inch Powerbook G4, 1.67 ghz with 2gigs of RAM. In fact, I'm writing this post on it.
  9. It's for sale: http://www.howardhall.com/for_sale.html
  10. The cavern dive at Dos Ojos is amazing, we usually take that route on our way into the cave. Once you are past the stops signs, cave diving begins and it's all about scale and structure. I bought a Ikelite 225w strobe and slave sensor for this years' trip, I hope to get better pictures.
  11. I have one, but I've never used it on a dive. They were discontinued last year and I bought the housing on a fire sale for $30. I still don't have the MP3 player to put into it. Most of the guys that use them out here are doing 1 hour deco hangs, which is really boring in open water.
  12. I'd be up for it. I used to write for Divester.com, posts are here: http://www.divester.com/bloggers/bill-reals/ I'm also an underwater photographer/videographer, but lately, I've just been taking pictures of wrecks, caves and the occasionally gray whale. Pictures: http://www.flickr.com/photos/billreals/tags/scuba/ Videos: http://www.youtube.com/wreals It would be fun.
  13. This is a cool shot and there are LOT of divers on that upline.
  14. It's the same as having a stage bottle on, you just move everything out of the way. It doesn't affect trim too much, I can tell it's there but it's not annoying. I usually a lot more concerned on scraping it when I push through restrictions.
