    Canon digital rebel xt
  1. I finally stepped up from a point and shoot and got a ike housing and ds125 strobe for my canon rebel xt. It was my first time using it in Bonaire and tons of fun! I still have a ton to learn! Check out more pictures at my flickr Here A few from the trip: I know I have a lot to learn, please feel free to make any comments! Check out the rest of my pictures Here Thanks! Patrick
  2. I like the last one the best, good stuff
  3. Sorry that was my fault. I mean power outlets, electrical sockets are they american style?
  4. Hey everyone, I will be traveling to Bonaire in a couple of weeks for the first time and have a few questions- Do you need some kind of surface marker while shore diving? If so would a safety sausage work fine or may that be confused for someone in trouble. Secondly, what type of outlets do they have American style? Thanks everyone for the help!
  5. thank you everyone for your info. I will have to consider all that is said here
  6. Is it possible to use the Pelican 1560 as a carry on? I am trying to decide between the 1510 which is a little small for my needs but can work, or the 1560 which should fit all my stuff better but am not sure if it can be a carry on which is what I want. Thanks!
  7. Will a pelican 1560 work as a carry on, or is it too big?
  8. Hello everyone, I was wondering if anyone had an idea of how to adapt an ikelite focus ring made to fit with the Standard Zoom Port Body #5510.16 to fit the Tokina 10-17? It seems to be too big and not fit close enough to touch the lens, any thoughts? Thanks everyone for the help!
  9. I have an canon rebel xt with Ikelite housing 8" dome port and have an Ike ds125 strobe and am interested in the 4th generation arm but am not sure how much buoyancy I will need as I am just beginning this. Any suggestions on which to go with?? Thanks for the help!
  10. What is everyones opinion on exposures in full manual mode when shooting wide angle with the same setup?
  11. Hello everyone, I am just getting into underwater photography "seriously" I have purchased an ikelite housing for my canon digital rebel xt with a 8" dome and the tokina 10-17 lens. Obviously I am looking to do more wide angle stuff initially. I like the ultralight control systems but am unsure of what size arm would be best for me. I am planning on getting one ikelite ds125 strobe. What is the best size for wide angle? What does everyone think of the ULCS system? and also I am not entirely sure what exactly I will need for the whole arm set up to connect it to my housing and the strobe can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks for the help!

    Canon GL2

I am selling my mint condition Canon GL2 on Ebay here . It has barely gotten any use since I bought it 2 years ago brand new. I only have used it topside never underwater. It would be an excellent gift for someone for the holidays!
  13. I think I found a good deal on a xti housing but I have an Xt, I was wondering if they are the same size, button placement, etc. so I could use it for my xt. Any information would be greatly appreciated!
  14. I have more questions. Are the 60mm and the 10-17 lens the same length where I could get a single port to fit both? Also if I got the 8" dome port would I still be able to shoot macro shots with that? How would the dome affect the image? I am not sure whether I would like to shoot macro or wide angle first.
