  1. Hi, Does anybody know where I can get a replacement cable mounting Nikonos N5 sysnc lead connector please? My existing sync lead has had an internal failure close to one of the connectors and after 10 years service it could not be unscrewed without damge. An internet search has only yeilded replacement leads at £100 !! Regards Bill.
  2. Thanks for the response I will look at the TTL module. Bill
  3. Subal ND 20 will not accept fibre optics, this has to be a wired connection, I have Inon Z220, which is a good manual flash but will not TTL with Nikon iTTL because of the preflash control. Bill
  4. I have a D200 and ND20 Subal housing and I need a new strobe. Any recomendations for an iTTL compatible flash with good manual control and output around 200 Joules? One option looks like the Subtronic Maxi with iTTL. I have been using an Alpha Pro for the last 8 years, but unfortunately it has gone wrong and Subtronic say it is beyong economical repair (it made a loud bang underwater and flashed no more!). Since going digital underwater I have been shooting manual and would like to have iTTL for some situations as well as manual. Does anybody have any experinece with the Maxi and how well its iTTL works with Nikon DSLR's, the specification looks good and with the external battery pack in the arm it will help to make travel easier. Do you have to set the camera up in any particular way to use the flash in iTTL mode? In manual mode you can select 1 of 4 powers, can you also use the exposure compensation to further adjust the flash output? Are the exposures good or do you need to use the compensation on the flash and braket? I assume you can bracket aperture from the camera? I assume the sysnc speed will be 1/60? Any reliability issues with the iTTL? Thanks Bill

  6. The reviews on the D300 look very good and will make a good underwater camera, does anybody have an idea whether it might fit the Subal D200 housing.? Regards Bill
