Ok this makes sence! What is interesting is that they work normal if i wire them both via PC (tried this just now) I quess the signal is stronger over PC? I will just have to rewire all the connectors in the housing to PC.

Works normaly. I think that the signal from hot shoe is to weak for both strobes. I tried to wire them over PC connector where they work fine. I am thinking to use PC connector instead of Hot Shoe since none of the strobes supports TTL. Any other sugestion? sory for my bad English!

Hello! My camera is canon eos 7d. Housing is old UK-Germany for analog slr custom modifyed. Until now I was only using one analog strobe in manual mode- Hartenberger 500. I recently purchased used and with broken battery- Subtronic gamma. I replaced the battery and it works! But there is a catch. Every strobe for it self works fine. When i plug them in both in than only one strobe fires. It doesnt matter what combination of connectors i use- the one that fires is allways Hartenberger. Any ideas?

Removing scratches from a dome port
tjaz replied to rschrager's topic in Photography Gear and Technique
It finally hapened to me: a boat guy put my housing on the flor with a dome facing down!!! The result is a 4-5cm scratch on a glass dome. Luckily i didnt notice any influence on the photos but it is still very distracting. At home i went to a local glassworker and he sad to me they can polish it out. Since the scratch doesnt affect the image i decidet to ask you what you think first. -
Hallo! I have a Uk germany dome without shade. I would like to build my own shade. If i build my own shade on land - will there be more or less vignetting underwater? The shade will be for Tokina 10-17. My plan is to use similar tube as you have and than just cutting it away until there will be no vignetting more. Thanks for your answer!

Which controls are the most useful underwater?
tjaz posted a topic in Photography Gear and Technique
Hallo! I am customising an a old Slr housing to fit a eos 20d. I am trying to keep things as simple as posible so i will put in just the basic controls. Controls that are working at the moment are: shutter, front and back wheel, zoom, and autofocus selection. Which other controls do you think i should add? I am planing to use this for push buttons: http://wetpixel.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=22663 Any other suggestion? Thanks! -
Hallo! I have a plan to modify an old UK-germany housing for eos 10(analog) to fit eos 20d. I am planing to build the back out of plexi glas. Has anyone any idea how thick plexy sould i use? I was thinking to use 1cm (ikelite uses 9.5mm). I am planing to use the housing to 40m maximal 60m. How does plexi fail under pressure? Does it just brake or does it give some signs before braking? If i would like to use thicker glass i would have problem with the optical viewfinder beeing to far away from the body. Thanks for your answers!

I am looking for UK germany macro port long enough to fit Canon 100mm USM. The port should have the old bayonet (screw). I would be even happyer if someone would sell port extention ca 55mm for screw bayonet. If you have what i am looking for contact me on tjaz (at) siol.net Thanks!
