Ikelite D200 Housing in the Wild
kdietz replied to rinjani's topic in Photography Gear and Technique
Jon, thanks for posting....I'm waiting on my 2 D200 housings from Ike so it's great to read your first impressions Your photos are awesome....perfectly exposed and very natural colors....very, very sharp....well done I can't wait BTW, I usually darken my LCD a couple of clicks to compensate for the brightness difference between what you see on the screen and what you get on your computer....I'll start paying more attention to the histogram also Karl -
Hope you have a good one Mike.....give yourself a D2X? Karl
-
Congratulations Ron....not a surprise considering the quality of the photos on your website....well deserved I'm sure....I wish I got that magazine... Karl
-
Hey Rand, If you didn't win something it's only because you have won so many contests that all of your shots aren't eligible as past winners Congrats to eveyone....well done Karl

Thanks for posting Brad....very informative site with very nice photos Karl

Rob, we are going next month also. I am expecting to give the 60mm and 105mm a real workout for the muck diving. If the viz is bad, the 60mm + Woody's diopter will be my choice. Karl

WTG Sarah.....two thumbs up

I just bought one for my D200 for topside work. I will continue to use the 10.5mm, 12-24mm or Sigma 15 underwater. I think the fast and extremely sharp 2.8 glass with get a lot of use as a walk around lens. Karl
-
Welcome Gordon....it's about time that you got it wet Karl
-
I plan on using the 8" port with various length stalks for my 10.5, 15, 12-24 and 17-35. IMHO, the 8" dome will be better for the 18-70. I have already used it with the 12-24 and the 15 and can say that I'm getting sharper corners than before. Karl
-
I used the 12-24mm a lot on this trip....the extra reach was very handy and the water is so clear and bright at Tiger Beach you don't have to worry much about out zooming your strobes....even better with the magic filter. I've got a 17-35 now and would consider it also.....i I was signed up on this trip but I had to cancel when other plans changed. Enjoy! Karl
-
Look on the back of the lens....under the lens description....it's embossed into the body It's on my 12-24, 18-70, 70-200 and 24-120, but not on my 17-35, 105, 60, 50 or 80-400 Karl

George, I own the 10.5mm, Nikkor 12-24mm and the Sigma 15....considering your requirements I would get: Sigma 15 for WA....very close focus, sharp and affordable....easy to use Nikkor 60 for macro....versatile and sharp Karl -
Excellent work.....I enjoyed every shot Karl
-
Wow.....great news for all the Wetpixelers......WTG Rand with BOS Congrats to the winners! Karl
-
Best wishes Alex.....I'm anxious to get a copy Karl

Nikkor 10.5mm Fisheye and D200
kdietz replied to Udo van Dongen's topic in Photography Gear and Technique
Udo, for what it's worth, I have 2 D200's and neither one is exhibiting any banding as far as I can tell. Karl
