  1. Still for sale, a bit more information: I have decided to sell my excellent video rig. It was described and reviewed two years ago in this thread. FOR SALE $2500: Underwater High Definition Video System HDV Camera, Underwater Housing & Lights Everything you need to film underwater in High Definition!!! This is an exceptional rig which cost me $4300 new. You want to be filming and photographing our earth's wonderful ocean while surfing, snorkeling or scuba diving? Look no further Ocean Images HC-SERIES housing for Sony HC7 with a wide angle lens (and a normal lens) as well as the two mechanical controls that allow selections on the camcorder “touch screen” to use features such as white balance (not just auto-white balance but custom white balance and every other function of the camcorder. 2. Well, I had a buyer lined up before my Bahamas trip but after I didn't call him back the day I got laid off, he threw a fit and won't return my calls. So again, this rig is up for sale!
  3. People have asked for photos. Here is a photo of the housing itself. I can also take a photo of the lights but to tell the truth, I still haven't open the box that I shipped them back to myself from last year September Bahamas trip. To answer another question, the housing does in include a red filter than you can toggle in and out.
  4. /bump. Some interest but no check thus far. Saw better know brand housing (but not as good ) sold without the camera but for the same price.
  5. Will sell housing, light and Sony HC7 separately if needed. PM me.

  7. Incidentally I am now selling this setup. It was bought new for $4300 total. Entertaining all offers. Everything is in pristine condition
  8. I'd love to buy this housing in the US (or Europe if nothing available in the US)
  9. New models came out a few days ago. I wonder how tough it would be to create a custom housing that would go to 200ft. I mean, it's just a push button, it wouldn't need to do anything else. It could even be a helmet cam. Thoughts ?
  10. I am not sure how to force HD with the youtube tag (I would know if it's the JS code) so you might have to go to the and click HD so see it in better res. Please do if you have the time. Feel free to post comments here or on the following post.
  11. It it possible to get a tag so as to display the youtube video in HD when available ? CNET explains how here: http://news.cnet.com/8301-17939_109-10104549-2.html
  12. But did anyone actually take the HC7 to 30m and lived to tell us about it ? We know the HC3 performed well underwater, does the HC7 ?
  13. Do we have a consensus on the HC7 low light performance yet ?
