  1. Has anyone recently (last year or so) been on the Morning Star or Sea Explorer live aboards operated by Balckbeard Scuba out of Nassau? I'm looking for both good and bad comments. Thanks and Happy New Year! Bob
  2. I have been trying like crazy to program the C1 & C2 dials for different manaul settings: C1 - F8 Aperture 1/200 ISO 200: C2-1 F5.6 Aperture 1/200 ISO 300. All i get is one setting overwriting the other so I end up with C1 & C2 with the same settings. The folks at Panasonic were not any help, just referred me to the owner's manual CD that came with the camera, which is where I started this frustrating quest. Anyone have a solution....other than a new camera? Thanks! Bob
  3. Thanks Jack. Not sure that's the problem I am having. The depth of the Ikelite housing port is 1" and the camera lens extends less than 1/4" when extended to the telephoto podition. I've contacted Ikelite for their input. Will post it when/if I hear back from them. Bob
  4. I have a new Ikelite Digital Housing #6171.05 for my Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX5 camera. I used it for the first time the other day on two dives. Average depths were 75’ and 60’. On both dives, the zoom control would not work, the camera stayed in the wide setting and it would not go to the telephoto when the lever was engaged. Once back on the dive boat, the zoom control would work and I could “zoom in and out”. Anyone else here have that problem or heard about it? Thanks. Bob
  5. Thanks for your comments. I dove the Rhone a couple of times in 2007, great dive and great viz! Don't think I will want to do tha again based on the cost & time. Bob
  6. I am planning a trip to St. Johns next April. Anyone have any dive experiences there or recomendations for a good dive shop? Thanks. Bob
