  1. Thanks for the tips. I will try using continuous servo on my next drive trip, which will be this week in Curaco.
  2. Greetings, I have a Nikon D80 with an Ikelite housing and DS125 strobe. I shoot with a wide angle zoom, Tokina 12-24mm with a 4X diopter. The Nikon D80 has three area focus selection modes: Single area, Dynamic area, and Auto-focus area focus. Also, the D80 has three Autofocus modes: Auto-select, single servo, and continuous-servo. The last dive trip I used single area and Auto-select AF, I got mixed results. Can anyone recommend the best mode(s) to use UW? Regards,
  3. The zip ties method sounds like a good approach. Thanks for the tip. Tomi
  4. Greetings, Does anyone have experience using the TSA locks sold by Pelican? I think they are called "PeliLock" for use on travel cases. They are suppose to be accepted by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). It would be nice to be able to keep checked-in travel cases locked. Regards, Tomi
  5. Greetings, I have used a compact digital camera underwater for about three years now, Olympus c5000 with a Sea & Sea YS25 strobe. I have decided to upgrade to a DSLR rig. My new set up is a Nikon D80 with an Ikelite housing and DS125 strobe. Last night I set it up for the first time and boy it seems really heavy to me. I should get some negative buoyancy from the housing but how light will the rig really feel under water? Does anybody have a any experience with this? Perhaps I will get used the weight and feel. Thanks, Tomi
  6. Thanks for the reply.. Does the +2 diopter fit ok within the dome port or did you need an extension of some kind? Regards,
  7. I am thinking using the Ikelite D80 housing and the 6" diameter dome port with my Nikon D80 w/Tokina's 12-24mm lens. The Ikelite web site says "adding a + diopter close-up to the lens is NOT required, but some people feel a +2 close-up lens may enhance corner sharpness". Does anyone have experience using diopters with this Tokina lens? Do I need a diopter? Thanks,
