  1. These are cheaper than ULCS and should do the job just as well: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Underwater-Strobe-B-...A1%7C240%3A1318
  2. I now have a pair of YS-30 TTL but would be interested if yours are YS-30 II TTL. I now have a pair of YS-30 TTL but would be interested if yours are YS-30 II TTL. I now have a pair of YS-30 TTL but would be interested if yours are YS-30 II TTL.
  3. Thanks Paul! That sounds reassuring. I have a Fujicell Smart 3 hr Charger, so I shouldn't have any problems.
  4. Manufacturers of (mostly older) strobes which lack a safety valve warn against the use of Ni-MH batteries because of the explosion risk (due to formation of hydrogen). Does the same risk exist with ordinary small dive torches or is it the strobe's high voltage that is the problem? I have put this question to a shop that only sells batteries as well as to a battery manufacturer's technical department but neither could answer. Can anybody here help? I would love to be able to use Ni-MH batteries in my dive lights. I note, by the way that the Instruction manual for my YS-60 TTL/N strobes specifically warns against the use of batteries other than manganese, alkaline or Ni-Cd whereas Sea & Sea's 2004 catalogue states "Battery requirement 4 x AA Alkaline, Ni-Cd or Ni-MH batteries" for this strobe. Very confusing!!! Grateful for help from somebody who knows what they're talking about. John
  5. I've now also found a YS-30 TTL/DUO.
  6. I've now found a YS-60 TTL/N but am still looking for another YS-30 TTL/DUO if anyone has one for sale.
  7. Search now over. Thanks all! John
  8. Thanks, Victor! I would have bought yours if it had been used (I don't want to pay for a new one) and if you had accepted Paypal. Regards, John
  9. I'm still looking! Does anybody have one for sale?
  10. I won the e-bay auction but I could still use another one, preferably the later YS-30 II model, if anyone has one for sale.
  11. Yes, thanks, I'm watching that one and will bid on it but I could use two and would prefer the newer YS-30 II model if I could get one,
  12. Okay, so it seems nobody has a used YS-60 TTL/N for sale. Does anybody have a YS-30 TTL Duo?
  13. Hi, I've been waiting for one of these to turn up on e-bay but it is a long time since I saw one (and bought it). Does anyone have one for sale? Regards, John
  14. I have a very nice Sea & Sea NX-100 housing with dual bulkhead connectors and a connector for Sea & Sea's excellent shutter-activated focus lamp. It comes with the quick shoe for the F100, a body cap and various spare o-rings. Price 300 US dollars plus shipping (from Sweden). I also have an almost new standard flat port with front cap. It takes the AF Micro-Nikkor 60mm 2.8D lens. The port costs $290 in the US, £200 in the UK. My price 190 US dollars plus shipping. Payment by Paypal. NB Buyers in the EU pay no duty or tax. Anybody interested? If so, give me your e-mail address and I'll send photos. John

  16. Sea & Sea NX ports crop up on ebay.co.uk and ebay.com from time to time. I have bought three from there. Good luck! John
  17. My (Swedish) bank don't charge me for money transfers but I've had to pay the seller's bank fee every time I've bought anything on www.ebay.de. A couple of German/Austrian sellers have accepted Paypal provided I paid their Paypal fee though.
  18. Certainly. Also, prices tend to be significantly higher on the German e-bay than on the UK or US e-bay. Furthermore, German sellers seldom accept Paypal and expect you to pay their bank fees for direct transfer as well as any your bank may charge you..
  19. I might also be interested in certain focus and zoom gears, though. I live in Sweden, can pay by Paypal. E-mail to: john.gulliver@ebox.tninet.se

Hi, I e-mailed you twice almost a week ago and am still waiting for a repy. If you have been away, without access to your e-mail, wouldn't it have been smarter to wait until you got back before posting your ad? If you are simply not interested in my offer, it would be nice if you told me so. In any event, PLEASE REPLY!!
  21. I'm no expert but, as I understand it, the Sea & Sea custom flat port (#56231) and the standard flat port (#56101) both take the Nikkor 60mm and (with Extension Ring 40, #56111) the (old) 105mm. The standard flat port is about $200 cheaper than the custom flat port. I use the standard flat port. If I want to focus the 60mm lens manually, I add a focus gear. I should add that I'm still using film but I don't think that makes any difference in this context.
  22. There's a Subal housing on the German e-bay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...em=170272843639 The price is very fair, 30% lower than I paid for my Sea & Sea NX-100 Pro housing 6 months ago.
  23. This gear serves as the focus gear for the old (non-VR) AF Micro-Nikkor 105mm f2.8D or as the zoom gear för the Nikkor 17- 35mm wide angle zoom lens. Does anyone have one for sale?
  24. You can buy a brand new one, with international guarantee, for as little as US$365-370 from Hong Kong, e.g. here http://cgi.ebay.com/Nuevo-NIKON-Nikkor-60mm-60-F-2-8-D-Macro-Lens-FedEx_W0QQitemZ220284829813QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item220284829813&_trkparms=72%3A1163%7C39%3A1%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C240%3A1318&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14 or here http://cgi.ebay.com/Nikon-AF-Micro-Nikkor-...id=p3286.c0.m14 or here http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-Nikon-Nikkor-AF-60...p3286.m20.l1116 or here http://cgi.ebay.com/Nikon-Nikkor-60mm-f-2-...p3286.m20.l1116 I bought mine from Hong Kong and it was an absolutely painless transaction.
