  1. I got myself one of these 6 years ago to charge DS125 battery packs; http://www.ebay.ie/itm/Charger-for-4-8V-6-0V-7-2V-8-4V-9-6V-10-8V-NiMH-NiCd-UL-/300633192900?pt=US_Vacuum&hash=item45ff2279c4 still works today.
  2. Ive used christolube on regs and rebreather o-rings. Problem is it dries out over time leaving a hard white residue. Not sure Id be so keen on using it on camera o-rings.
  3. Not for me. I updated the firmware last month and went on 2 trips with the issue occuring numberout times. I only ever had 1 card in at any time, used a Sandisk CF extreme 32gb on trip 1 and SD extreme pro 64gb on trip 2. I was recording RAW + basic JPEG to the card. I am wondering is it the writing or RAW and JPEG simultaniously? Alternately, I saw on the web an issue in 2012 with D800s locking up when histograms and RGB info was being displayed. I did have the LCD displaying this info. Anyone else still having the issue?
  4. Interceptor121 your hilarious as always. Have a read on Alex's homepage, he deceives it well http://www.amustard.com/?page=pro&ext=strobecolour&subpage=news&size=s Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Interceptor121, the z240s colour temp of 5500k are preferred for green water photography. The 4900 and 4600k give more accurate blue water in blue water Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Markprior, if your looking to get sea and sea stuff, don't rule out Japan. The yen is very weak at the moment. I have ordered housings, ports and 45 viewfinder from these guys and never an issue. http://www.uwdigitalcamera.com/store/home.php Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  8. It's not US that will charge you, it is UK import vat. You'll pay 20% of the items value and 10-20stg handling fee from whatever courier you use Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. The topic that just keeps giving, loving it :-) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I recently went from MDX-D300 to MDX-D800. Had the tokina and the Sigma 15mm, sold the tokina as I have always been very happy with the Sigma. I also have the sea and sea optical dome port and I didn't find any issues with corner sharpness. I have just last month invested in the S&S FE 240mm port (purchased for <400 euro from Japan + P&P and a little vat - uwdigitalcameras.com). The main reason I have invested is that the optical dome is only rated to 60m, whilst the FE 240 is rated to 80m (funny S&S now have housings rated to 100m but none of the ports). Anyway planning on using the setup this Saturday and Sunday. Not expecting any issues as it is the setup S&S recommend for this lens.
  11. Thanks Luko, raja Ampat is sounding more and more tempting Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Just know of someone organising a trip to romblon. Raja ampat does look amazing, though seems to be very pricey to do it from Europe Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. never been to Asia, have the Romblon option but also thinking Lembeh, or Raja Ampat. What area is best in Feb-Mar? I would love somewhere I could do a bit of WA in mangroves. Ideas????
  14. I had same dilema (and have a 7.2" optical dome). I went with option 1 last month and ordered from Yuzo in Japan (380 euro + vat on import). http://www.uwdigitalcamera.com/store/product.php?productid=16180&cat=273&page=1
  15. Japanese yen is very weak at the moment. I purchased a fisheye dome port 240 at a very good price from Yuzo just a few weeks ago, http://www.uwdigitalcamera.com/store/product.php?productid=16180&cat=273&page=1 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Anyone dived in the Romblon region of the philipines? I have a chance to go there next Feb, and wondering is this a good diving location?
  17. Definitely the tok 10-17, this lens is so much fun for both wa and cfwa. 17-70 not a lens I personally like uw. Single strobe is sufficient for a lot of shots with the tok. However, you will eventually want/need a 2nd strobe. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. The 100mm has the same reproduction ratio ie 1:1, it will only increase your working distance and the field of view, no increase in "magnification". Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk That is same repro ratio as your 60mm Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Really depends what you enjoy. The tokina is excellent on cropped sensor for wa. The 100 really only makes sense if you are going to add a diopter/magnifier to shoot super macro in my opinion. If it was me I'd get the tokina in a heart beat. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Inon z240 are rated to 100m, but I know people using them regularly to 130m. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. A few months back Ive jumped from a D300 to D800. Now I have video capability!!! The majority of the time I will just shoot stills, but I would like to do a bit of video. LEDs seem to be getting more and more powerful, and cheaper in parallel. Just saw the Mangrove VC-4L6X, 6750 lumens, 85 CRI at a price of 850 dollars, sounds good. What lights are people using? Most interested in shoting wideangle (Sigma 15mm FE). Also shooting wrecks at depth 60-70m reagion.
  22. or perhaps you have an issue with your Sigma. I have read on this forum of others with soft 15mm FE. Mine is tack sharp.
  23. don't find it very staisfying in what regard? Corner sharpness? I have the D800 in S&S housing with Sigma 15mm and the optical dome port (7.2" or about 180mm) with no extension, and am more than happy with the corner sharpness.
