  1. Most CD burners are against any type of movement or vibration during the write phase. I image you would get quite a few bad burns, some photographers might not get his favorite picture and next thing you know they are disputing the charter charge on the visa. Its a pessimistic stance but a risk non the less.
  2. Let me ask a stupid question, Infinity on this lens seems to be within inches, why not just focus it at infinity and turn auto focus off?
  3. Good question... Why the leap to the 16-35 "L"
  4. I tryed out the Sigma 14mm today, it seems almost like the perfect underwater lens (almost). I will not leave home with out the lens hood on again , it clearly needs it. It seemed nice and wide..
  5. Euro 240,00 Please pay to our Account-Nr.: Volksbank Schupbach BLZ: 51191800, Kto:1132016 IBAN: DE17511918000001132016 BIC: GENODE51SBH Best regards UK - GERMANY UNDERWATERPHOTOTECHNIC That does that mean? Wire transfer?
  6. Sell the car, house and other toys and buy an SLR, your going to do it in 9 months anyway.
  7. That is indeed a shame, Anyway I purchased a 15mm Canon Fisheye and a 14mm Sigma, and I really want the 15mm-30mm zoom for land shots so I paid Uwe to make the zoom gear for it. I plan to test and evaluate all three. Anyone want to pickup the 8mm Fisheye and give that a try. =) 12mm underwater.... hmmm I think I need more strobes.
  8. I am going to try the lens in my UK housing but just in case it's not what I want I snagged a 14mm Sigma on ebay this week. =)
  9. "I definitely wouldn't mind seeing one of the 12-24 lenses with a Canon mount.... " I agree to a point, I would love a 12mm lens assuming it's much less than the 16-35mm L($1400.00) Since it will not work on a ffS it had better be cheap.
  10. Best Idea is to just pay the $40 per year and get a good Antivirus software package. Also remember they are worthless if you don't get the weekly/monthly updates.
  11. The removal tool for this Virus Due to a decreased rate of submissions, Symantec Security Response has downgraded the threat level for W32.Klez.E@mm from Category 3 to Category 2 as of July 23, 2002. W32.Klez.E@mm is similar to W32.Klez.A@mm. It is a mass-mailing email worm that also attempts to copy itself to network shares. The worm uses random subject lines, message bodies, and attachment file names. The worm exploits a vulnerability in Microsoft Outlook and Outlook Express in an attempt to execute itself when you open or even preview the message in which it is contained. Information and a patch for the vulnerability are available at http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/...in/MS01-020.asp. The worm overwrites files and creates hidden copies of the originals. In addition, the worm drops the virus W32.Elkern.3587, which is similar to W32.ElKern.3326. The worm attempts to disable some common antivirus products and has a payload which fills files with all zeroes.

  13. Eric it's not just you, I want to order so many things from the guy but I don't have a comfort feeling that he understands what I am asking for. Not worth the risk when it takes 30 days and $50 bucks in shipping to return something.
  14. 16-35 is a great lens if you get a good one. It's to costly to risk buying a bad one on ebay so you are locke dinto paying retail 1400 or more. Both lenses are huge and the sigma is Wider and much cheaper. I need a wide zoom lens for land shots and I don't really want to buy both the 14mm and the 15-30. I can however buy both of them for cheaper than I can get the 16-35. The simga 15-30 does fit in the UK Germany housing. I was hoping you had tryed the lens underwater. Canon 16-35 -->$1399 Sigma 15-30 --> $475 Simga 14 -->$650
  15. James, I noticed you sold your Sigma 15-30mm lens, did you ever try it underwater? Seems like that lens would have been a handy zoom lens for underwater use. That's about 22mm - 48mm lens on a DSLR, it's much cheaper than the 14 and it's reviews are not bad. I do hear it's huge, but so is the 14mm. Tell me what you think..
  16. alto, I used the image tank with Zero problems, my guess is the same company makes both products. Does anyone know if you can delete from pictures while viewing them on the V-MP3H Multimedia Storage? If so that would make it worth it for me. I really dislike taking the laptop but on the other hand I need to see what I have captured. The product is much more costly than the image tank and xdrive but it's a drop in the bucket when you think what we spend on lenses, housings, strobes,BCs,computers, Nitrox fills, HP tanks, Boat payments and other addons we don't even think about.
  17. Go with Ultralight, I have had 4 housings and 3 strobes in the past 2 years..Sold everything but the arms. It's like a good lense, something you never get rid of.
  18. Thanks for the examples, I didn't like the converted images. Hmmm maybe I'll rethink the 15mm.
  19. 3. Does NOT provide the TTL function to quench the strobe when the other strobe (internal / external) fire Number three would be a nice add on.. Then you could house the SLR flash (housed) and use the IKE strobe all in E/D/? TTL..
  20. Eric, If you sell any more, let me know. Thanks CB
  21. Good link for all looking at making the huge purchase of a 14mm lens. Another good link on the Fisheye ..rather than the 14mm Angle of view and field of view with standard focal length lenses on 24x36 format (e.g. EOS 1Ds) versus Canon EOS 1D, D30, and D60 digital SLR cameras: Wide angles lenses on DSLR All found in Posts on dpreview
