  1. Thanks. Going down, we are flying to Miami on Air Canada but overnighting in Miami so I can pick up my new housing at Reef Photo. Then flying AA Miami to Bonaire. On the way to home it is AA Bonaire to Miami then AA Miami to Toronto but only a brief stop in Miami. We love Bonaire and have good friends that live there so visiting them is a bonus but also admit, getting there isn't always the easiest.
  2. I will soon be picking up my Nauticam A1 housing and accessories while enroute to Bonaire for 3 weeks. Having switched to Sony pre pandemic it will be my first time shooting Sony underwater. For those shooting the Sony 90mm, should I be getting a focus gear for this lens? Thanks in Advance.
  3. Phil, sorry for the delay in replying. Thanks so much for your input.
  4. Great timing on your post Gary! Phil maybe you can help me along in some decision making. Pre-Pandemic I switched to Sony (A7riv and A9) from Nikon (D850) and sold my Nauticam housing and ports. Due to the pandemic and no travel I am just now researching which camera I am going to use underwater now that travel is soon going to open up again for us Canadians. I had initial thoughts of downsizing for underwater shooting and just going with A6600 or (after reading your review) going with the A7C, but that would mean another two bodies as I like to travel with a back up, on top of my A7riv and A9. Also housing the A7c with the cost of those additional bodies isn't that far off just housing my A7riv in the NA-2020 housing and upgrading my A9 to an A9II as a back up. While I like the A7riv I like to shoot birds in flight when not travelling and after shooting high speed electronic shutter with the A9 I don't want to shoot birds any other way but also like the crop-ability of having more megapixels so having an A1 makes a lot of sense, but purchasing two A1's on top of having to purchase a new housing and ports is out of the budget. What controls aren't accessible if I was to house an A1 but keep my A7riv as my underwater back up? Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

  11. Thinking about selling, anyone looking contact me at jmorphy[at]mac.com or via pm here on wetpixel. Thanks, Jamie
  12. Thanks for everyone's input. Flying to Bonaire Wednesday and given all the info I think we will be fine. Thanks again, Jamie
  13. So, are you suggesting we have to carry on the GoPro's and lights as well. She only wants to carry on the batteries so we don't have to carry it around the airport. I know none of it is that heavy, but still a pain.
  14. Great, that makes me feel better. Thanks so much for your time. Jamie
  15. Ok, will tape over all contacts. I am more worried about the number of batteries. My wife shoots video with 2 GoPro's and two Fix Neo 3000's Video lights all of which go in checked luggage. However, she will carry on all her batteries, 8 GoPro batteries and 6 video light batteries.
  16. I have checked the AA Web site but would like some back up clarification. To be safe and not have any check luggage held back I should just carry all lithium ion batteries in my carry on? Thanks, Jamie
  17. I do not feel that the Nikon Mirrorless line is quite there yet. Waiting for it to mature would also be an option. Thanks.
  18. Thanks Phil, I have read your review, great job. I look forward to the A7riv review as well. As much as I would love to have that camera, I just don't see it being that much smaller than a D850, itself or housing wise.
