  1. I am using the standard charger and have put the strobe on test mode just after charging. It only get 2 lights. Ike, what is your warranty on the batteries and what would be the cost for testing and repair? Do I need to send the entire strobe or just the battery?
  2. I have recently noticed that my Ike DS 125 battery does not take on a full charge after charging for the appropriate amount of time. Anyone else experience this? Ike, any other reports? Can you fix this issue?
  3. Alex, would you mind explaining a little bit deeper as to why the underexposure would not be required for film. Thanks in advance...
  4. Thanks to you all for your input. Since I had a Ike housing for my G2, I am comfortable with the feel of the housing and aesthetics don't take good pictures. I don't think anyone disagrees with the quality of service from Ike. I'll give it some time for some of the other housing to make their way into people's hands and I see some reviews. Thanks again. I can always count on straight forward advise from this forum.
  5. Now that there are a few 20D housing options out there (Ike, Aquatica, Subal, etc.) I am trying to figure out the pros and cons of the options. The one plus for the Ike is the eTTL2 compatibility, but I am not sure how "essential" this is. I had a Ike housing for my G2, but the I ended up not really using the TTL and shot mostly in manual. Has the technology improved since then? I am planning on getting a second strobe as well, so will this make difference in using eTTL2? As for the other housings, I am not sure how much and why they would be of better quality than the Ike housing. Is aluminum better for some reason? Are the ports available for these housing better optically than the Ike ports? Usability better? I have read a bunch of threads about the new Ike 20D housing and the results seem to be great, but I haven't seen one that confirms that eTTL2 compatibility is a must have. I understand that price a big difference in this game, but taking that out of the equation, what are the real pros and cons? Thanks in advance for sharing your advise and experience.
  6. All items sold. You can check the links to see what they sold for (pretty good return in my opinion). I am now without an underwater rig and waiting for some other 20D housing to become available so I can make my choice.
  7. ...now on eBay if you are interested: Canon G2 Camera: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...me=STRK:MESE:IT Ikelite Housing: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...me=STRK:MESE:IT INON UWL 100 Lense: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...me=STRK:MESE:IT
  8. Ike, Any samples you can share from Roatan? How about some pictures of the pre-production housing?
  9. Great. Looks like we will have some choices. I would expect Sea & Sea to also be a yes. I was thinking more like the spring, but it looks to be sooner than that.
  10. Ike, The 20D is eTTL 2. I assume that makes a difference. Why will it take twice as long for the first batch? Herbko, I will try to focus away from the light tonight and provide an update.
  11. herbko, just tried your suggested autofocus experiment. Focused perfectly on my Timex Indiglo alarm clock with no other light in the room. Ike, what is your time line on this housing?
  12. I will very soon be putting my Canon G2, dual-handled Ike housing (I also have the original single handle), and Inon UWL-100 lens for sale on eBay. I thought I would put a notice up here first to see if anyone was interested. All are in excellent condition. Let me know....
  13. Picked up my new 20D yesterday (so far so good!!). Any news from the housing manufacturers? Ike?
