  8. I’ve understood that using the wrong type of grease might deform the O-ring.
  9. The reason why I ask is that I don’t have the Sea&Sea specific O-ring grease. The Inon O-rings are yellow whereas the Sea&Sea are blue.
  10. Shooting in external auto mode with electrical sync (and a Canon G9), should the Advanced Cancel Circuitry switch be pushed in our pulled out? I get varying results depending on the switch position. Not related to the external auto mode but if the switch is pulled out manual mode and full mode do not work properly.
  11. Any suggestions on how to configure the housing, the camera, and the strobe (an Inon Z240) for sharp photos? Should I use the short port or long port, why? Should the G9 be se on macro mode, or not? Why? Should I zoom in or out? Most of the photos I’ve taken so far with the double macro lens setup are out of focus, with a few exceptions, such as this one: http://www.flickr.com/photos/rolandmagnuss...57616238118878/ While experimenting with different settings, I’ve notices that a subject has to be within 15-20 cm from the lens to be in focus. Why is the area of sharp focus so narrow, only a few centimetres?
  12. I recently changed from optical to electrical sync with my Patima G9 housing and Inon Z240 strobe. Because the optical sync drained the battery. I’m fairly new to underwater photography, and thus would very much welcome any views on how to configure the Z240 and the G9. As some of you may have noticed, the Inon strobe manual in English is pretty obscure. For starters: With electrical sync, is it true that the only modes available in the strobe are External Auto and Manual? Does the advanced cancel circuitry switch (up or down) have any affect, with electrical sync?
  13. I’m struggling with the weight of a Patima G9 housing. The weight underwater with one Inon strobe and a Inon UWL-100 lens is noticeable, 1 kg (2 lbs) or more. Do you know what these floats are, and if they would help, i.e. are they non-compressible (from the newest issue of Uwpmag): Alternatively, or in addition, could this work (Stix float belt):
