I currently have someone in The Netherlands who is looking to buy the whole thing in one go and is coming by tomorrow. If he doesn't end up buying it I'll be happy to split stuff so will let you guys know then.

Hi all, Due to not using this setup since a couple of years, I am selling the following: Nauticam NA5D3 housing including vacuum system Nauticam 8.5" dome port (for 16-35mm lens with extension rings, see below) Zen Optics 4" dome port (for Canon 8-15mm lens) Nauticam macro port Extension rings (50 and 30mm) voor macro/16-35mm lens Nauticam flash unit for inside the housing to fire strobes optically Inon 45 degree viewfinder, exchangeable with regular nauticam viewfinder Extra O-rings Gear rings voor Canon 16-35mm lens and Canon 8-15mm lens Underwater tripod by XIT404 including 3 legs and clamps Light & Motion Sola 4000 video light (including filter/ball mount) Small Ikelite strobe (free for anyone whoever buys the housing) Would like to get €2000 for everything, excluding the Sola4000 light, which would be €500 euro. Shipping is for buyer (from The Netherlands). As said, the unit hasn't been used in a while. It has been used a lot in the past where I was doing research on manta rays in Mozambique, but was always handled carefully and always rinsed with fresh water after dives. It does have regular signs of use (scuffs etc) on the housing, but otherwise works fine. Dome port has several light scratches on it but nothing that could be seen in photos. It could use a service as it hasn't been used in a while, but I set up the housing and pulled it vacuum and it holds fine, so there shouldn't be any issues with that. If you want any loose items, we can work something out, just send me a message. Same for more photos.

Canon 5D Mk III Official Thread
Daanivd replied to adamhanlon's topic in Photography Gear and Technique
Has anyone looked yet how it would fit in a 7D housing? The 5D mkiii design seems to have a lot more in common with the 7D in terms of button placements than the 5D mkii. -

Where are you based? Cheers, Daan -
I would like to put down a negative rating for Paul6657. He put up a nauticam housing for sale and we agreed on a deal. He showed me the housing, upon my request, on skype. It all seemed reliable. However, he then wouldn't send me his banking details. He wouldn't reply to emails i sent and when i called him he said he had sent it multiple times over the internet (it doesn't seem very plausible to me for multiple emails to not be received (and yes, i checked my junk email)), and said that he would call me again that same day to give me the banking details. I never got a call back. After that i tried calling him everyday for about 5 days, but no one would answer the phone. When i posted something on the forumpost regarding the housing, he said he wasn't agreeing to the deal anymore we made because i wanted free shipping (which isn't true, we agreed to split shipping 50/50) he didn't want to ship out of the UK (although earlier he found out the pricing to ship to the Netherlands, so we could come to a definite price, so that's not true either). He never gave me any intention of not wanting to make the deal anymore, no emails, no phone call, nothing. Now it all seems a bit shady to me. I am thinking it might be some sort of scam perhaps, of which he may have backed out due to me seeing the person on skype. I am also not sure if it is the actual Paul 6657, since he did have a positive rating on selling an item earlier with someone else. It may also not be a scam at all, but if that is the case, he should think of how he communicates with people regarding stuff he is trying to sell. I am not trying to bash Paul6657, but the whole thing doesn't seem very trustworthy to me anymore.. Hope this information helps Cheers, Daan

First of all, I find it very strange to agree to a deal and then suddenly decide to back out and then not to actually inform me about your intentions. Backing out of a deal is no reason to not reply and I don't think that is a very good way of doing business. Second of all, postage was not free, but split between the two of us, as we agreed. You also never mentioned that you did not want to send outside of the UK and I was very clear that it had to be sent to the Netherlands. You knew this as you had to sort out postage and see how expensive it was before you agreed.

Hi all, I came to a deal with Paul on the Nauticam housing but something went wrong and I don't think it can be trusted. He showed me, on my request, the housing on skype, and we agreed on a price. However, he didn't send me his banking details. He said he tried emailing it several times and that something must have went wrong with email. I called him to see what was going on and he said he would call me back later that day. I never got a call back. I gave him a few more calls over the next couple of days to see what was going on, but he didn't answer his phone. Don't know what is going on, but thought everyone else who is interested might wanted to know. Cheers, Daan

But it doesn't need to go up the entire height to flash to be able to fire. I measured it and it needs about 7 mm, which looks like it is almost there in the picture (but is hard to judge by the photo..). The height of the flash fully up is about 2 inches. If you pop up the flash you can also see a small button on the back corner under the flash on the side of the on/off switch. This is what controls whether the flash is able to fire or not (when this is pressed down it is not able to). Perhaps it is possible to alter the height of this little button so the flash is able to fire with the flash opened up to the extent possible in the picture..... I might try when i get my housing but i don't want to ruin the flash of my camera... Or do you think the light emitted by the flash of this partially opened flash would not be strong enough to trigger a strobe?

Do you think it would be possible to sand of a millimeter or so, so the flash could fire? In the photo it seems very close to the point where the flash would be open enough to be able to fire. Or would a millimeter sanded off of a small area compromise the proper functioning of the housing (i.e. no flooding)? Cheers! Daan
