I know... Many times I have thought "if only Canon had built the Titanic".

The title says it all. Time to retire my old Canon A620 after its fifth flooding (still works, but getting sick of surfacing to empty water out mid-dive). Prices on the S95 are dropping prior to release of the S100, but will that be better UW? One of these, in a Canon housing is about my budget at this point. I have an Inon D200 that I will continue to use, and the Canon (S95 at least) will allow wet lenses later. Thoughts? Thanks in advance.

Inon D2000 Type 1, 2, 3, 4 - Differences
Link replied to Link's topic in Lights, Strobes, and Lighting Technique
Thanks Jim. I've been 'lurking' here for a while, just never had anything to post that wouldn't embarrass me and my pathetic little camera. Still got SFA budget for this stuff, but maybe, maybe, slowly, slowly. Thinking about a second hand strobe and then a better compact and housing. Time will tell. Link. -
Hi all, First post so be kind. I'm trying to find out if there is a way to tell the difference between the four types of Inon D2000 strobes, just by looking at them? Is there a model/serial number variation or something. I know the later ones (three and four?) have an LED focus light, but is that the only way, and is there a way to be more specific? I'm looking at buying one second hand and the seller doesn't know what type it is. Thanks, Link.
