  1. Hi Kosmonaut, The housing is still available, but I don't have any ports for sale. Subal still sell type 3 ports in case you are willing to buy new, or you might find them secondhand elsewhere. See Ian's post above for ports for sale. PM me if you are still interested. I can then get a quote for shipping. Mark

  5. Dear Hedwig, thanks for sharing your test results. How about user-friendliness of this air-filled diffuser? Does it attach easily to your Z240 and maintain a good air seal?

  8. From what I can understand of Hong Kong retailers description, the main differentiators are buoyancy and less reduction in flash intensity. Can't be sure there's much difference in beam angle, beam softness, or uniformity of beam compared to regular dome diffusers. Hoping someone will publish a review/comparison before long.
  9. I have just seen this air-filled diffuser advertised and cannot find any further information or reviews. http://www.nauticam.co.uk/fit-pro-air-filled-dome-diffuser/ http://www.fun-in.com.tw/oc/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=2545 Does anyone have any experience with air-filled vs. normal dome diffusers? Are they better (and how so?) and worth the price? I guess they don't reduce the light output as much as regular diffusers.
  10. It seems my DP-FE is a type 2 or "early" type 3 which is why the adapter doesn't fit. Subal have proposed a not inexpensive solution which is that we replace the plate behind the dome to a new type 4 plate. Much cheaper than buying a new or secondhand DP. All my ports will then be type 4 with only my DP-100/3 requiring the adapter. Having already gone off topic, I'll say this about the ND500... the button labels are tiny! Do you know anyone who makes bigger housing label decals?
  11. Yup, but it's gonna be a while before I properly test it out. Meanwhile I need to sort a few things out. A bayonet adapter connects my type-3 DP-100 and type-3 EXR-40 to the type-4 ND500, but oddly it won't fit my type-3 DP-FE which i really don't want to have to replace. Build quality and ergonomics look good so far. Vacuum pump works and housing seems airtight, so that's a good start!
  12. It turns out it's easy... The GS180 needs to be unscrewed (using the removal tool or similar), while the current standard eyepiece just gets pushed out, after removing a plastic securing ring.
  13. I've upgraded housings and want to move my GS180 eyepiece to the new housing and move the standard eyepiece from the new housing to the old one. Problem is, the GS180 has the two small holes in it, allowing for easy unscrewing, but the standard eyepiece in the new housing has no such holes and no obvious way to unscrew it. Any thoughts?
  14. My Subal N10 housing is still available for sale. PM me if you are interested.
