  1. Hello Guys, I am selling an Ikelite Canon 7D package with 2 DS 161 strobes. 8-inch dome kit designed for the Tokina 10-17mm Flat port for Canon 60mm Macro Lens Comes with a carry on suitcase which is the Pro Roller X100 Doesn't come with the camera or lenses. Currently missing the charger for the strobes (must have forgotten it at the hotel on my last trip) Will buy a charger for the right buyer. Please email me at sergejvishovski153@msn.com The item is located in Toronto Canada. Would prefer to find a local buyer since I don't really like shipping stuff. Pictures are not the clearest so if you would like to see pictures of certain items please let me know and I will give you more detailed pictures. Thank you, PS: NO CAMERA NO LENSES
  2. Hey, I just bought a used Ikelite setup for a Canon 7D and 2 Ike DS161 strobes were included with that. Since I never owned one of these strobes or an underwater housing I had the following question: When I turn the strobe on it makes a little sound for about 4 seconds. It almost sounds like a start up sound but I was just wondering if that is normal or I should sent it to Ikelite for diagnostics. Many thanks
  3. Hey Seansrs968, So I ended up purchasing it, it really was an incredible deal...I came home and looked at it over and over again and it is in simply perfect condition. The dome has not a single scratch on it and neither does the flat port. Now I just need to buy the camera and a tokina 10-17mm. I have one question however: When you turn on the strobes they make a little buzzing sounds for like 3-4 seconds, almost like a start up sound..is that normal or should I send it out for service? Thanks.
  4. Thanks for the info Tom...I will do as you said and see what happens.
  5. thanks for everyones input...i will be looking at the whole setup on monday and will make my final decision then...anything you guys can suggest in regards to possible problems with the strobes or housing? I mean what should I look out for when inspecting the items (obviously if pieces of plastic are broken off its not a good sign) but I mean are there any specific things you guys know about when testing the equipment? Thank you,
  6. Thanks for your reply. It seems to be a good camera from what I have heard and read online. Do you have any concerns with that setup or with the camera itself?
  7. Hello Guys, I am not too sure whether I am posting in the correct section of the forum so please feel free to correct me or move my post. I am looking for a used underwater setup and believe it or not I do not have an SLR as of right now at all, so it is a bit easier for me to look at the used classifieds. A gentleman close to me is selling a setup and I feel like it is well priced for what it is but I wanted to hear some feedback from you guys. Here it is: Ikelite underwater camera housing to fit Canon EOS 7D DSLR Port Port extension Dome Two Ikelite DS161 Strobes Strobe attachment arms Sync cable All necessary accessories, spare parts, and user manual. When I asked him which dome it was he said he had the Tamron 17-50mm lens in there and he would find out which one it is exactly. Do you feel like this is a good setup for $2000.00? The seller seems to be genuine and answered all my questions and offered for me to try out the strobes etc. All feedback is much appreciated. Many thanks Sergei
  8. Thanks for your input, that is what I was worried about. I looked at a couple of videos with the 10-22 and it seems less "distracted" than the Tokina...
  9. Thank you Balrog for taking the time to reply to my post. Do you know if the 10-17mm lens is also good for shooting video on land? I have heard from some people about some kind of "linear distortion" and that it might not be the best option?? Thanks again,
  10. Hello, I own a Canon T3i and I am just saving up to buy a housing for it. Most likely it will be Ikelite or Sea&Sea. I am looking for a lens primarily for underwater video and wide angle since I will be getting the Canon 60mm for macro. Price definitely makes a difference so if you could give me some insight on some lenses in the lower price range it would be much appreciated. Any input is helpful. Thank you very much in advance, Sergei
  11. Hello, I am very new to this forum so excuse me if I am not posting in the right section. I live in Toronto, Canada and I am looking to buy a housing for my Canon T3i. I would prefer it to be Ikelite or Sea&Sea since those are in my price range. Please let me know if you have anything available, I would obviously prefer to see it in person before I buy it but that is unlikely to happen since most users seem to be from the US but I will give it a shot anyways. In case you are not able to message me here, my email address is : sergejvishovski153@msn.com Many thanks and best regards,
  12. hey! I just started diving and the reason why I started in the first place was for underwater photography. I work at the Sony Store and do get quite a significant discount on every product in the store so I decided to buy a point&shoot camera and the underwater housing for it. SONY DSCW290 http://www.sonystyle.ca/commerce/servlet/P...oductId=1006240 MPKWE -Underwater Housing http://www.sonystyle.ca/commerce/servlet/P...oductId=1006070 Sea&Sea YS27 http://www.seaandsea.jp/products/strobe/ys27dx/index.html Please keep in mind that I am 20 years old and do not have too much money to spend and am only able to get this equipment because I work at the Store. Please tell me if there are other/better solutions, it would be much appreciated. Should I also get a close up lens with my setup? There is a Sea&Sea System Chart and that is what I am basically following to get the best I can afford. Thank You for any Help Sergei
