  1. Another dive site for Mandarin fishs at Manado coast. Manado coast is 1.5 hours away from Lembeh, and 30min boat ride away to Bunaken. Here are few shots of the mandarin fishs. While taking shots on this small little colourful fishs mating, I got no time to bother in focus or not, just shots when spotted the fish in LCD screen. If to make sure focus on spot, l be late, the mating scene happen just a split second. 2 males sparing for a fight. A fight over a female? The mating.
  2. Good day to all, This is my 2nd diving trip with Larasscasse resort at Manado, the resort is comfortable and most of their dive guide know what a photographer want. And they know all the hide out of smaller critters. Here are my pics taken at manado.. A Seahorse just nearby a shopping mall in Manado. Pygmy seahorse from lembeh Transparent shrimp with eggs, Nudi from Lembeh An underwater statue Wide angle shot without any wide lense
  3. I suggest Malaysia/Sipadan/Mabul Island at Boneo diver resort, dive site = house reef/Paradise II. Depth at 3 to 4 meters, more then 20 mandarin fishes. Best time is 5.30pm to 6.30pm. At first they;ll come out hang around individually, then when clock strike 6.10pm, they start to mating, the best moment is the split second right after mating, the male fin flex wide like peacock. Your camera respond gotta be fast, else, it just for your eyes only. Here a few of my shots from paradise II
  4. Let a malaysian answer this, most of your above 11 destination are not diving place. Kuala lumpur = from KL you gotta transfer by flight, bus or car to east coast island of malaysia, and the travel times take about 5 to 7 hours exclude boat, ferry to dedicated island. Kota kinabalu = From KK you can take a flight to Tawau then by road to Semporna about 2hours journey, you can choose to stay in semporna or another hour boat ride from semporna to nearest island diving resort for diving at Sipadan Island. Diving in Sipadan need daily permit from Sabah tourism ministry, recently, this permit are limited to dive center. Kuching = never heard of any diving activities. Langkawi & Penang = from this 2 islands you can dive at pulau payar, nothing much to shout about, merky greeny water. Cebu = a variety of dive locations that are reachable from Cebu city. (but will need to take ferry, car or combination to get to the better locations) Pakman advised. Bali = With 10days vacation, this is the best destination, you can dive at menjangan 2days, then travel down to tulamben liberty wreck, seraya and surrounding for 4day, then try your luck at nusa peninda 2days for the famous Sun fish aka Mola mola. Still the best are Bali. Cheers
