  1. I am selling my beloved Ikelite housing for a Canon 5D Mark II after only one dive trip. All the items are less than 4 months old, and I can provide receipts from B&H upon request. Never flooded, and meticulously cared for. I am selling it all because I am changing to either the Subal or Seacam system. Also included are the following ports: Ikelite 8" dome port, and the following port extensions: 5510.22 5510.11 5510.16 Also have the 5505.45 for the 100mm and various other macro glass. About $2,500 invested. I am willing to sell the whole system for $1,900 + shipping to the lower 48. You can see some of the images i've made with this setup here: http://wetpixel.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=38161 http://wetpixel.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=38152 Also willing to consider selling the camera body as well - make an offer.
  2. Michael Aw at work in Hanifaru Bay - with mishmatched fins no less!
  3. Apparently, this is how world class photographers like Michaew Aw prefer to shoot: Mismatched fins!!! I think I actually had to retreive my camera from inside the manta after this shot!
  4. Thought i'd share some of my non-manta pics from Maldives. Manta pics coming soon...
  5. Holy Cow!!! That kinda makes Hanifaru bay look sparse!
  6. Waiting to take the Dhoni back into Hanifaru Bay for the afternoon, so I thought I upload a quick picture from yesterday. No real editing done, only cropping. Tons more to come when I get back home and sift through gigs of images for the keepers
  7. I am in Dubai right now on a stopover. Heading to Male tonight and gonna be on board the boat in less than 24 hours and heading to Hanifaru!
  8. As I bang my head, day after day trying to figure out how to cram all my camera gear into a viable carryon for my trip to the Maldives in 10 days, I am starting to consider all possibilities. If I put my camera body in the Ikelite housing for transport, it actually saves a substantial amount of much needed space. However, everything I read says that I'm not supposed to do that, but no one seems to explain why. I dont get it. The housing is purpose-made for the camera to go inside it, so whats so bad about putting it inside for transport? Its not like the camera is loosely jostling and bouncing around inside the housing. Certainly, i'm not going to be sealing the thing up airtight since the dome port won't be installed. Any thoughts?
  9. You'll be fine diving with no cap.... as long as you don't mind your camera/housing to be turned into a very expensive brick
  10. OK, but why? I thought the damned megapixel war was over
  11. I will be there in T-Minus 17 days on the Ark Royal!!! W00t!!!!!!!!!
