  1. *Sea & Sea Optical Dome Port - asking $1000 (new price is $1250 from Reef Photo) It's totally clean, no scratches on the glass, barely used. The only sign of wear is some scuffs on the plastic at the bottom (which you know happens as soon as you set it down on the dock.) Case and cover are included. (The circle impression on the neoprene cover was from me setting the extension ring on top of it in the case to transport it. - it's not a defect.) *Sea & Sea Extension Ring 40 - asking $200 (new price is $290 from Reef Photo) Mint condition - no signs of wear. I am not sure I ever even used this. Prices are firm - shipping costs are extra - I prefer payment by money order to avoid credit card fees, but I do have a business account with Paypal if you want to pay their fee. I'm located in Mississippi and prefer to sell/ship within the USA to avoid any shipping/payment issues involved with an overseas transaction.

  3. All I know is that they guy was snorkeling in a lagoon on Utila and saw this fish. Not sure of the size but I would think the color is somewhat close to accurate.
  4. Passed on to me for ID - but I can't find it on fishbase. Anyone? Taken in Utila.
  5. Trip of a lifetime!! My dive buddy cancelled and I have a spot on the Okeanos Aggressor for grabs. Female please - cuz I'm female and we would share a room. The trip is Nov 1 - 9, 2008 but we have to get there the night before (Oct 31). You would have to get yourself to San Jose, CR that day - I am flying in from Houston on the 31st to San Jose. The spot on the boat is $3095. I have already paid for the spot so you would pay me directly. Cocos Island is the dive spot - fabulous diving and excursions to the islands as well. Photographers dream!!! Please let me know ASAP if you are interested! Christa Loustalot
  6. cool stuff as usual james i'm collecting costumes and props now - and have 3 girls lined up for january to start shooting in the pool...my only twist will be that my pool is not very deep. 6ft only at the deep end, so this will be creative. should be fun though! C
  7. I've been off the forums for awhile after a move overseas, but I've been steadily snapping away! Take a look at Photograsea and browse when you have a minute. Got some freediving photos too that I'm pretty happy with! C
  8. I'll be there in a week! Looking forward to working with you this fall. I'll contact you soon about scheduling so I can go ahead and get things arranged... C
  9. Hi Gaynor I'm still planning on helping you out this fall...and bringing my camera! Christa
  10. I just sent mine!!! It's so easy - all you do is fill out the short form and push the button. http://www.savethemanatee.org/actionalert.cfm?id=12 Everyone should visit this site and send the email too! C
  11. Just sent my 5050 housing in today for the upgrade...
  12. No floods, but I did have a small "drip" this summer (in fresh water, thankfully) from one of the controls on the top of the housing. Truthfully, I did not even notice it until I saw some weird residue on the mode dial on the 5050. I checked the control directly above it and saw the same stuff caked both inside and outside of the housing on the shaft. Upon frantically consulting the manual (I was leaving that day for a dive trip to the Flower Gardens) I noticed that I should have been lubicrating the control shafts regularly in the last 3 years or so that I've been using the housing. OOPS. Anyway - I did so, and it didn't leak again. That darn manual...somebody really should read that thing. C
  13. I had the same problem with my well-loved 5050 Ike housing after I sent it in for a TTL upgrade. When I got it back, the controls would not engage with the camera anymore. I sent it back in - they modified it...and I had the same problem. I was really frustrated, I talked to Ike, sent it in again...this time with my camera inside. With my camera, which obviously has it's own tiny quirks, they were able to fix the problem perfectly and I am happy again. They even gave me a set of housing 0-rings to make up for my shipping cost, so it' didn't cost me anything. Personally, I don't like to phutz around with my housing controls lest I cause a leak. If you are not comfortable with doing it - send it back to Ike with your camera with it (they will treat it like their own) and they'll fix it. I always get my equipment back in two weeks. Ikelite has always been very responsive to problems and I think they go above and beyond in the way of customer service. Just my $0.02. C
  14. I used to travel with 2 pelican cases and loved it - now I can't because of the weight restrictions. So all the camera/housing/strobe gear and dive computers get stuffed into an extremely heavy carry on duffel (and I get pulled out of line and it is searched thoroghly every time) and the scuba gear gets mashed into a suitcase along with everything else. It's become a real drag. <_< The pelicans have been recomissioned for local diving only (where I used to use a rubbermaid tub)...what a waste of money.
  15. Not up to par with the rest of you guys...but this one's my favorite this year. C
