  1. It has been some time since I've been on here as I've been out of the UW photo for a while. You can check out my reviews on Ebay also under KYbluediver if you want some additional feedback on me as a seller. I happened across my Sea and Sea strobe yesterday (thought I had lost it). It is a 9.5 out of 10 condition. It was lightly used when I used it on probably 20 dives. It was never flooded. I put batteries in it to test and make sure it would fire and it works perfectly. Included are the following: Sea and Sea YS-90 Auto strobe. Original box and most of original documentation Extra O ring for the battery compartment Sea and Sea Diffuser Fiber optic cable Sea and Sea Tray and arm Asking $165 for everything shipped within the lower 48. Paypal only please. I'm not going to ship it out of the country (sorry).
  2. Thanks... I thought about the narrow beam angle shortly after I posted this. Would definitely need a flood type light to work with the gopro. I may indeed check on this forum when I want to pull the trigger on one though. I only get maybe 8-20 dives in per year so its getting harder to justify some of this stuff. That's why I sold $6k worth of SLR equipment last year.
  3. It's been ages since I've posted here. Let me give a quick background. I used to have a housed SLR with dual ike strobes to do my UW photography. I really liked it but my kids are now starting the process of getting certified. For the next several years, I'll be diving with teenagers new to diving and don't think I could really focus on UW photography until they all get some experience. With that said, I now have a gopro to record moments relatively easily as they come. So far, I like it. I have been borrowing my brother's L&M sola 800 on the dives. For my next trip, I won't be able to do that but I hate to spend the $$ on a light. Assuming buying a high dollar video light is not an option, which would be better for my purposes? BTW, I have the flip filter system for the GoPro. Dive without a light completely Mount an ikelite mini C mounted (non halogen). I already have the mounting for it. I would think if the dive light worked relatively well, you wouldn't see so many people paying $1000 for specific video lighting. So looking for some schooling here. is it the light temperature, brightness, or something I'm not thinking of? If diving with that light, should I have a specific color filter different than I would typically use? Thanks, BTW, I'm super excited to be diving with my oldest son this year. He just finished his pool dives this weekend. Been diving solo for so long (wife doesn't dive) i can't remember what its like to go on a boat with someone I already know so this will be really special for us.
  4. Housing is now sold. I still have the port available.
  5. Please note that I have added these to Ebay to cast my net a bit broader. The offer above still stands as long as I get it before a bid comes through. The housing is actually a buy it now so the offer is good on the housing until it sells either here or on Ebay. It is a bit cheaper here though as it has free shipping. The port is an auction so once I get a bid, i have to complete the transaction through Ebay. the auction number is: 291104703956. Thanks for looking.
  6. Please note that I have entered this as an ebay auction starting tonight at 9:00 EST. The deal offered above is still valid as long as I receive and can respond to the offer prior to a bid on the auction. The auction number is: 291104686155. Thank you.
  7. Please note that I have entered this as an auction on Ebay. I'll sell it here for the price listed as long as I get an offer prior to getting a bid on the auction. The auction number is 291104660246 and will begin 9:00 this evening. Again, the price above stands as long as it comes through before there is a bid on the auction. Thank you
  8. Think Tank Airport Accelorator backpack: ($180) shipped. The bag is in great condition. The only thing missing is the spare separator inserts that aren't currently in the bag. I've looked but simply can't find them. I can provide pictures of the separators that I have if requested if it isn't clear from the attached picture. I travelled with nearly my complete setup including laptop within this bag. The only thing that didn't fit well was my 2 handle tray which I always packed in a checked bag. I will accept paypal payment only and prefer to ship within the contential US. PM me if you have any questions.
  9. Nikon 60mm f/2.8 Lens: ($275). The lens was bought new and NOT a grey market lens. I may have 500 shots with it and it is in near perfect cosmetic and working condition. Will ship with the caps and a lens pouch. the price is shipped anywhere in contenential US. paypal only please. PM with any questions. thank you,
  10. The housing and port are both in fantastic condition. No scratches or problems of any kind. This would be a great way to get into UW SLR photography on a budget (if that is possible). D80 cameras can be found readily on Ebay. I have one myself but am not planning on selling it at this time. I purchased all of this new and have personally dove with it for each of the 26 dives or so that they have been on. That is all the use these have had. Stored in a padded backpack when not in use. I included the picture of the full system so you can see the tray handle that will come with the housing. I accept paypal only please. These prices are the price of it shipped within the US. I prefer to ship only to the US at this time. Housing: ($300) Ikelite 6808.1 housing (fits Nikon D80 camera). 2 handle tray O-rings for backplate Housing manual Ikelite Port Components: ($80) Ikelite flat port 5502.41 Ikelite zoom sleeve 9059.8 (NIB) Ikelite zoom clamp/sleeve 5509.28 (NIB) Foam cover for port
  11. Several components are sold. I'll relist the remaining components separately. Please don't respond to this topic as all remaining items will be reposted. Thank you
  12. For Sale: Nikon D80/Ikelite system components. I'm selling the entire system pieced out or as a whole. it has been fantastic but due to the limited amount of time I can use it, I've decided to part with it. I have 3 kids that are getting ready to start diving with me and I will need to be more focused on them as partners vs having my head behind the view port. I have approx. 24 dives total on this system. Everything is lightly used and in 9/10 condition. The only exception is the camera itself which is used topside as well although it is still in perfect working order. There are no scratches on the ports, lens. The system has never had a drop of water in it. Here are the components for sale: Camera and Housing: ($500) Nikon D80 camera. Camera includes battery and charger. Ikelite 6808.1 housing. 2 handle tray O-rings for backplate Housing manual Ikelite Port Components: ($80) Ikelite flat port 5502.41 Ikelite zoom sleeve 9059.8 (NIB) Ikelite zoom clamp/sleeve 5509.28 (NIB) Foam cover for port Two Ikelite 1.25" balls with extended stem mount: ($35 for the pair) Stix adjustable bouancy port float system: ($25) Two Ikelite DS160 Strobes. The only thing missing is the spare separator inserts that aren't currently in the bag. I've looked but simply can't find them. I can provide pictures of the separators that I have if requested. Thanks for looking and let me know if you have any questions.
