  3. I am wanting to use it with an ikelite modular port for the 100mm canon 5510.35. I have used the inon 165 with my olD canon g10. I saw a bubblescuba lens adaptor on ebay for like 80. Has anyone used on of these?
  4. Has anyone used or have an opinion on these? Bubblescuba 67mm adaptor for ikelite.
  5. Thanks for the quick reply! Had a look at tthat site and found the adaptor.. $230 just for the adaptor seems pretty expensive.. does anyone know of cheaper options and has anyone used the inon ucl165 on a dslr... I can only really find examples from compacts. I will spend the money if it's worth it but am a bit worried to spend 230 on an adaptor and then find out the wet lens is no good
  6. Sorry didn't mean to post this twice admins delete it please here is the original post http://wetpixel.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=54578&do=findComment&comment=355060
  7. About a year ago I upgraded to an slr for underwater. I have some old Inon Ucl-165m67 screw on macro wet lens' that i used with a compact camera. I was wondering a) is it worth using these with my 100mm canon macro lens. B) if it is worth it, how do I attach them to the 5508.45 port? I also have the modula ports that will fit the 100mm (cant remember the model numbers) that am using for the 60mm macro lens if that is easier to attach to. Thanks

  11. I agree with john .. you only need to make things look right that people know.. the no1 thing people know is skin tone that's something that you cant change (this is the rule i use above water).. underwater maybe people expect skin colour to look a little different and they generally have no idea about everything else underwater so you can make it look what ever you thing looks "good" and it wont distract the viewer. Having said that manual set of WB can help give you at least a starting point so you are only tweaking the WB small amounts on the PC and not starting from scratch for me that's the only advantage. But it will give you heaps more to do depending on your dive profile.. you will need to set the white balance at least every 1m of depth change. 12. I posted this as its own topic but i thought it might be worth continuing the discussion here.. and stopping that post.. I have read my inon D2000 manual and im still not sure what technique to use when diving with my G10 and inon D2000 ok so i have a G10 that does not fire a pre-flash when you have it in manual mode and also a Inon D2000 just for all the people like me out there that need it spelled out to them.. can someone answer these questions for me. 1) So when you are in modes (on the strobe ) STTL , STTL Low it does not matter what setting (magnet in or out) you have on the ACC (Advanced Cancel Circuit) it will expect a pre flash correct.? Ie the strobe ignores the ACC setting for STTL and STTL low? 2) The magnet in or out will only affect the flash when you have the strobe in manual and auto settings correct? 3) so on the same dive with the magnet in I could do the following and correct flash exposure would work every time. Shoot in modes (on the camera ) Tv, Av and P I use STTL on the strobe. Shoot in Manual (on the camera) I turn the strobe to manual also. 4) what do you think will happen if i put the camera in Av, Tv or P and shoot with the magnet in turning the ACC (Advanced Cancel Circuit) on. Any help would be great with this one.. im going on a liveaboard in a week and want to shoot in manual .. but dont want to waste any dives testing the ACC in out out.. biggrin.gif Thanks Chris
