Hi All I am writing to solicit film entries for the 2nd Annual Beneath the Waves Film Festival. The Beneath the Waves Film Festival is currently seeking submissions that focus on marine life, marine issues, and marine conservation. We are a unique event in that we are housed within an academic community. This festival is a unique combination of science and film, communicating research, field work, underwater footage and outreach to people across disciplines. In association with the Benthic Ecology Meeting, Beneath the Waves will faciliate collaboration between leading scientists and professional, emerging, and amatuer filmmakers. Marine science is a wonder to be seen, so submit your film today! Last year's winning conservation film was from an amateur filmmaker and diver. This year's event provides a chance to get one's name out there-whether you are an amateur, an enthusiast, or a professional, BtW is for you. Free to submit a film. Deadline is February 15, 2011, event held in March 2011 in Mobile, Alabama. For information on how to submit, please visit our website: 2011 Festival Homepage Any and all inquiries can be directed at the festival organizer, Austin Gallagher (gallagher.austin@gmail.com) See you beneath the waves!
