Wow thanx Jean. Very nice reply and its great to see your setup. Funny to see the tripod for the camera aswell ;D
Im going to try without the PW first and bring it way deper than it ever will be. its supposed to sit at the surface ofcourse but going to take it down to around 15-30 ft to see if it leaks or not.
Cheers,

Hi y'all =)
Im making a little waterproof box connector where i have a ikelite bulkhead (http://ikelite.com/web_pages/ics_conn.html, part #9104.55) and going to mount it into a peli waterproof case. Now i'm wondering, will the o-ring seal on the bulkhead work well with the plastic of the case or should i put a threaded metal plate inbetween (and epoxy it so it's sealed to the peli case)? Thought you guys have probably done things like this already so why not ask =)
The thing im doing btw is to sync a Pocketwizard (inside the peli case) with the camera housing. The electronics and everything works so far just curious about how to get the best seal, even though the actual case will be surface or even above water. I'd rather not accidentally drag it down and drown the pocketwizard if i can avoid it.

Stunning! By accident i was listening to the Inception soundtrack while klicking in to this thread and boy it fit =) These are wall pieces definately, the small jpeged format does them no justice.

Most of the canons have HDMI out aswell on the side. But the port is not accessible through Ikelite's housing (at least not for the 5D mk2) so you would have to modify the housing to get it to work.

Also do not forget hotels. Have a colleague who makes quite a bit of money from selling images
to hotels to have either in their lobby or in their rooms.

Looking nice. Very nice photos =) i noticed the turtle picture on the front page scrolls/pans a bit weird. Like the page scrolls over it while the pic remains in place. Not sure it was supposed to do that (browsing on firefox on a mac btw).

Got my underwater housing in January, and yesterday was the first time i managed to get a model brave enough to dare the icy waters of 18C Swedish summer lake ;D Murky, dark, and about 1 meter viz but everything worked like a charm. Canon EOS 5D mk2 in Ikelite housing, 17-40 F4L and a DS51 strobe set to TTL.
First shoot, definately not the last. Got next weekend booked already ;D

Howdie yall. Been lurking and reading on and off and as i just recently managed to do my very first underwater shoot decided to start be more active =)
Got a Ikelite housing with the smallest DS51 strobe and the large dome for the 17-40 F4L on my Canon EOS 5D Mk2. Worked suprisingly well considering the circumstances i was shooting in, c:a 1 m visibility, dark, murky waters, lot of particles in the water, no sunlight (raining on the surface
. And it performed like a charm, very happy =)
Going to post the first pictures in the gallery section when im allowed to post there =)
And other than that, im Swedish, 40 years old, ex-scuba instructor (PADI OWSI) and technical diver (IANTD Adv. Nitrox) and an old apnea diver to boot. I work as a fashion photographer normally so you can guess what kind of animals im shooting in the water
A minor detail question re. Ikelite bulkheadconnectors.

I have the new PW 2's. They have a stronger antenna (and the ability to relay if needed aswell). But i'm planning to have the actual box actually on the side of the pool, the protection is more for if it gets dragged into water and under, and the times when i need it to be floating. i thought i'd weigh it down on the inside like yours so it stands up in the water aswell.
