  1. A nice person here on wp told me that my description of the lenses was inadequate. So here are more details: these lenses are in excellent condition and were barely used. I used the lenses for only one or two trips to Indonesia (thanks for the great dives, Maluku Divers in Ambon) and even then, used the lenses rarely on dives as I primarily used wider lenses. I'd consider a reasonable offer to be about $300 plus shipping for each lens as they are just a small step down from new. In fact, as I think about it, I may never have actualy used the Canon 60mm macro lens, ever. Yes, there are newer versions of the Sigma lens but AFAIK each newer version has less macro capability. Feel free to show me otherwise.
  2. For Sale: Nikon AF-S Nikkor 16-35mm f/4G ED VR Wide Angle Zoom Lens Absolutely mint condition. Basically brand new. I took this lens out of the box and then never used it. It is perfect, and comes in the original box with warranty card and all accessories like hood and cloth case. Feel free to make a reasonable offer. I see that this lens is selling on Amazon and B&H Photo for $996.95. Given the delays in shipping stuff internationally these days, I'd much prefer to ship these items within the US. I'll figure the cost of shipping via UPS, USPS, or Fedex and we can come to an agreement, hopefully.
  3. For sale: Canon EF-S lenses. Both lenses are used but in excellent shape both cosmetically and optically. 1. Canon EF-S 60mm f/2.8 Macro USM Lens. 2. Sigma 17-70mm f/2.8-4 DC Macro OS HSM Lens Feel free to make a reasonable offer for either lens. The 60mm macro lens is selling on Amazon and B&H for $349. It's great for shooting, obviously, macro. The Sigma lens is an older lens, but a good versatile one. I used it for photographing medium-wide-angle macro shots. It's a versatile lens where I was able to, for instance, frame a turtle or large anemone, then frame a clownfish guarding eggs in the macro mode. Here's some information on the Sigma lens: This is an excellent lens that focuses down to 8.7 inches, or 1:3. Here's what a review from the web says: The best mid-range zoom for Canon EF-S is Sigma 17-70. There have been three versions, original plane jane 17-70, then 17-70 HSM, and now the current 17-70 OS HSM. HSM is Sigma verbiage for fast motor focus, like Nikon AF-S, or Canon USM. The original was pretty slow to focus, so this is a welcome improvement. The HSM and stabilization features are nice, and worth while, but reproduction ratio has decreased with every revision. Originally it was 1:2, then 1:2 point something or other on the HSM, and 1:3 on the OS HSM model. Newer lenses have less macro capability -- one reason to get this lens instead of a newer one. I believe this review is for this model: https://www.dpreview.com/reviews/sigma-17-70mm-f2-8-4-os-hsm Given the delays in shipping stuff internationally these days, I'd much prefer to ship these items within the US. I'll figure the cost of shipping via UPS, USPS, or Fedex and we can come to an agreement, hopefully.
  4. Nikon and Canon lenses for sale : For sale: Nikon AF-S Nikkor 16-35mm 1:4G ED VR lens: absolutely mint. Brand new. I took this lens out of the box and then never used it. It is perfect, and comes in the original box with warranty card and all accessories like hood and cloth case. $1150. For Canon: Canon EF-S 60mm f/2.8 Macro USM Fixed Lens for Canon SLR Cameras, like near-mint condition. $349 Canon EF 100mm f/2.8L IS USM Macro Lens for Canon Digital SLR Cameras: absolutely mint. Brand new. I took this lens out of the box, cut out the UPC code for a rebate, and then never used it. It is perfect, and comes in the original box with all accessories. $779. Canon EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6L IS USM UD Telephoto Zoom Lens … in excellent condition. I used this for one trip to Australia. The glass is perfect, no scratches. The body is in near-mint condition. $1049. Canon EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM SLR Lens for EOS Digital SLRs … in excellent condition. $499. Tokina AF DX 10-17mm f/3.5-4.5 Fisheye Zoom - Canon Mount … in excellent condition. $469. The perfect lens for wide angle shooting with APS-C cameras. Sigma 17-70mm f/2.8-4 DC Macro OS HSM Lens for Canon Cameras …in excellent condition. This lens focuses down to 1:3. $469. More notes on this lens below. All lenses are in excellent to mint condition. I rarely used any of these lenses; and when they were used, they were encased in an underwater housing -- a nearly perfect environment for cameras and lenses -- as long as the housing is never flooded! None of these lenses were flooded. If you are interested, please contact Norb Wu at temp2_at_norbertwu.com. Please no phone calls. I am happy to entertain reasonable offers. I can accept credit cards, Paypal, and personal checks. Personal checks will have to clear my bank before the product is shipped; which can take up to three weeks. Shipping will be at buyer's expense (at actual cost) and will be UPS Ground, Fedex Ground, or USPS Priority Mail (all of which give tracking of packages). If we conclude a deal, I'll give you a quote for shipping via one of the above methods. I can even throw in a signed copy of one of my books, Under Antarctic Ice, at $20 (50% off) if you buy a lens. A book along with a lens will likely result in a bit of an increased shipping cost. Thanks! Norbert Wu More notes on the Sigma 17-70mm f/2.8-4 DC Macro OS HSM Lens for Canon Cameras: Here are comments from Ryan Canon, the underwater guru/expert at Reef Photo in Ft. Lauderdale, about this lens: The best mid-range zoom for Canon EF-S is Sigma 17-70. There have been three versions, original plane jane 17-70, then 17-70 HSM, and now the current 17-70 OS HSM. HSM is Sigma verbage for fast motor focus, like nikon af-s, or canon USM. The original was pretty slow to focus, so this is a welcome improvement. The HSM and stabilization features are nice, and worth while, but unfortunately reproduction ratio has decreased with every revision. Originally it was 1:2, then 1:2 point something or other on the HSM, and now 1:3 on the OS HSM model. A 7.8cm x 5.2cm frame is still pretty small for macro video, but you have to decide whether that is good enough for you or not. [Norb's note: this was perfect for shooting macro subjects for me, but obviously not things below 1:3]. We can set the lens up behind a flat port for use in the 35-70mm focal length, which probably makes sense for macro video. You can also use it behind a dome for the full zoom range which some people like with skittish stuff like reef sharks.
  5. Underwater photographers who know their stuff (or have a great photography gear guru like I have) know that the old but good Sigma 14mm f3.5 lens is one of the sharpest wide-angle, rectilinear lenses around. I’ve been a professional underwater photographer for a long while, and my guru (Ryan Canon at Reef Photo) recommended this hard-to-find lens for wide-angle shooting with my Nikon D800 camera. Being my usual overzealous self, I bought this lens on Ebay a couple of months ago, but then found another len in even better condition. This lens takes great images and the autofocus works just fine, even with my new Nikon D800 camera. Note that this is an older lens than the newer Sigma 14mm f2.8 and is considered sharper, and better for underwater photography (and likely topside photography). There are two things to know before you buy this lens. There is a small scratch on the lens. I can't see that this scratch affects the images taken with the lens. You can't even see the scratch unless you view the lens at a certain angle. I took dozens of photos to show the scratch on the lens -- you can finally see it in the last image in this listing. The lens cap/cover is not the original lens cap/hood that comes with this lens. It's something I fashioned out of another lens hood and lens cap. I bought this lens and it did not come with a lens cap. It will be difficult to find another lens cap that fits this perfectly. The one I've fashioned will work OK but is by no means perfect. It is simply a cover that falls off, not like the original cap/hood that stays on. You can likely put some rubber or wetsuit material on the inside of this hood to make it stay on. I just kept the lens in the lens case or camera bag. Otherwise, the lens is in great shape and I am selling it for exactly what I bought it for ($255 plus 3% for Paypal purchases for a total of $263), which is a pretty good deal. Condition: GOOD Condition Comments: Lens contains moderate cosmetic wear and light internal dust. Lens also contains lightly scratched glass. Lens cap/hood is not the original and does not fit well. See notes below. Includes: Rear cap, case Fully Tested and Works Properly. Item pictured is the actual item for sale. If you are interested, please contact Norbert Wu at temp2_at_norbertwu.com. Please no phone calls. I am happy to entertain reasonable offers. I can accept credit cards, Paypal, money orders, and personal checks. Money orders and personal checks will have to clear my bank before the product is shipped; which can take up to three weeks. Shipping will be at buyer's expense (at actual cost) and will be UPS Ground, Fedex Ground, or USPS Priority Mail (all of which give tracking of packages). If we conclude a deal, I'll give you a quote for shipping via one of the above methods. I can ship internationally via Fedex International Priority or Economy. Thanks! Norbert Wu
  6. Mac Pro - Quad Core 2.66 GHz (4 cores total), upgraded to 5GB RAM, 1.5TB Hard Drive, SuperDrive, Apple Part #MA356LL/A; both OS 10.6 and OS 10.7 Snow Leopard and Lion operating systems installed! Because this Mac can run both Snow Leopard and newer operating systems, you can can run older Power PC Programs through the Rosetta software that is available on Snow Leopard. Therefore you can choose to run either OS 10.6 or 10.7, and run all your old PowerPC programs using Snow Leopard. Or you can start up your machine in OS 10.7 Lion. This is a very lightly used Mac Pro tower. I used this Mac Pro in our summer home, and it probably has less than 100 hours of use on it. I had two of these machines along with a MacBook Pro laptop. The best thing about these Mac Pro machines is that they can run OS10.6 Snow Leopard which is the last OS that runs older Rosetta, Power-PC-based applications. These machines can also run the newer OS’s such as 10.7 and 10.8, Mountain Lion and Lion. A new Mac will ONLY run the OS that it comes with and newer – so the only way to run older applications is to buy Parallels and a copy of the very hard-to-find Snow Leopard Sever – which is a pain to install and a pain to use, since Parallels Tools won’t work (transferring files is therefore a hassle). I have two of these Mac Pro machines and I am keeping one of them. These are indestructible, heavy duty, professional machines that just keep on chugging along. They are loaded with all kinds of connectivity that you need such as front and back Firewire 400 and 800 ports, several USB 2.0 ports, and the list goes on. This model came standard with 1Gb of RAM and a 250Gb hard drive. I upgraded this Mac and put in a total of 5Gb of RAM and have put in a newly tested, partitioned, and loaded-with-software Seagate 1.5 Tb hard drive. For a more accurate description of this Mac, google "MacPro1,1 model " and find the results at everymac. This is the Apple Mac Pro "Quad Core" 2.66 (Original), Order No: MA356LL/A, Model ID: MacPro1,1. I am including the Lion OS as an extra, as this Mac Pro came standard with Snow Leopard. I’ve completely reinstalled the software, tested the network connection, and everything works perfectly. Here's some software that comes with this machine: Disk Warrior versions 4.0 to 4.4. Works on Snow Leopard through Mountain Lion. Photoshop CS Carbon Copy Cloner Extensis Portfolio Filemaker Pro 9 Advanced and Filemaker Pro 10 Microsoft Office X and Office 2004 (these versions of Office work only in Snow Leopard) MS Office 2004 (Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Entourage) Microsoft Office 2008 (does not include Word 2008) Quicken 2006 Toast 8 and Toast Titanium Asking $749 plus the cost of shipping via Fedex Ground to your address. 9. Canon EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS USM Autofocus Lens Brand New, In Box with All Original Accessories This is a brand new lens, never used, in the box with all original accessories. I bought it for a period when I switched from Nikon to Canon camera bodies for shooting underwater. With the new Nikon bodies (D7000, D800), I am going back to using Nikon gear. This is the US version of the lens, not grey market. I see that the lens (US version) sells for $1699 on B&H. Asking $1545 plus shipping. 10. Mint Condition, a Coveted Professional Wide-Angle Lens I bought this lens in late 2011, and just never got around to using it (hey, I am an underwater guy, and I don’t shoot that much topside!). It has sat on the counter in my humidity-controlled workshop for the past 14 months. I’ve used it for a grand total of two times for about 20 minutes to try it out. This lens is in excellent shape, showing no signs of wear, no scuff marks, scratches etc. Glass is perfect, focusing is perfect and firm, no dings or scratches. This sale will include the original front and rear lens caps, instruction booklet, and lens hood. Sorry but I can’t find the box. I see that the lens sells for $2000 on B&H. Asking $1799 for the lens and accessories. 11. Nauticam NA-7D housing for the Canon 7D camera. Excellent Working and Cosmetic Condition Comes as originally purchased, with standard flat viewfinder and bulkhead plugs (you will need to have Nikonos V or other bulkhead installed if you wish to trigger underwater flash units using electronic cables -- I recommend Reef Photo to do this). $ 2,600.00 plus shipping. Canon 7D body with all original accessories, manuals, and original box. Excellent Working and Cosmetic Condition Used as a backup and for some topside shooting. Shutter count according to the one utility that I could find (eoscount.com) that worked is 16,562 shutter activations (really, Canon, we users can’t find total shutter activations except after hours of work and having to pay to get the shutter count?). $950 plus shipping. 12. I bought these lights in 2009 and ended up rarely used them. They are rock-solid, dependable LED lights with battery packs. They were made by SOLUS Submersible Products in Ireland. We modified the lights and battery packs so that everything is attached with wet-pluggable Subconn connectors. You can plug the batteries into the lights while underwater (but you don’t want to leave a battery connector unplugged while underwater for too long). These lights are equivalent to 800 watts or 3,800 lumen. The lights can be connected so that one light runs off one battery pack, or one light runs off two battery packs. The battery life is 1.5 hours for one bulb with two battery packs, and 45 minutes for one bulb with one battery pack. Light heads have a standard ball on them so you can mount them on standard ball arms. The battery packs have clips so you can clip them to a BC. I’ve posted images of the lights at: www.norbertwu.com/nwp/stuff-for-sale/solus-lights-web/index.html I’ve also posted images of the lights with this posting. The first two images show a Solus light beam compared to a Light & Motion Sola 2000 light beam. The Solus beam is warmer and has a bit of a hotspot. Image 3 shows one Solus (only the head on the right is turned on) with an Ikelite S/S 200 diffuser taped in front of it. This makes the Solus light beam wider and more uniform. The rest of the images show the Solus lights attached to battery packs. I am asking $1200 for the two light heads and battery packs, plus the cost of shipping. 13. Hi All: I have a Nikon D7000 body that I ended up not using much. It has only 2875 shutter activations. It is in mint cosmetic and working condition. It comes with everything in the original box, including such things as the monitor cover, battery cover, CD, eyecup, etc. I'd be happy to ship this overseas. I am asking US $990 plus shipping. If you are interested, please contact me at temp2_at_norbertwu.com. Please no phone calls. I am happy to entertain reasonable offers. Shipping will be at buyer's expense (at actual cost) and will be UPS Ground, Fedex Ground, or USPS Priority Mail (all of which give tracking of packages).
