You're right Peter, some times the barrel distortion do great efects and there are some good PS plugins and softwares to correct it. I am newbie on digital underwater and I saw that both sigma and canon FE when used with DSLR (1.5x or 1.6x) looks like a WA lenses, probably due the crop. I am looking for a lens to cover the same field of a 20mm in a full frame camera to my DSLR with the similar result of a WA lens. The price is very similar and my concerns are about the lens sharpness and wich lenses give more distortion. Thank you. Fabio

Hi, I'm looking for a Wide Angle lens to use with my EOS20D. I saw a lot of articles in the internet speaking about Sigma 15mm FE and Canon 15mm FE, some guys presents Sigma as the better choice than Canon, other spoke that Canon is the best. The price diference is not big. Does anybody knows which lenses will give me less barrel distortion underwater on DSLR 1.6x crop sensor ? Any pratical test published on the internet ? I got my 20D two days ago and I loved this camera. This is my first DSLR and I impressed with the good results. I believe that we will get good housings for the EOS20D in short time. Aquatica, Ikelite, Subal and Uk-Germany, all these manufacturers already had announced that these housing will be available for the end of the year. Just wait more couple months to get undewater your 20D. I'm getting the same situation to move from film to digital, the housing.. My currently housing is an ikelite for EOS Elan 7e, my digital choice was a Canon 20D and I probably go to leave the plastic housing and loose the the ports to move to aluminum one. The reason is not about resistance or size, I'm playing with ike's housing about 2 years without breaks and I've got some hard times with then :twisted: . I tried a aluminum housing (subal and aquatica) some time ago and I was impressed with the precision and smoothness of the commands and about the quality/sharpness of the 8" glass dome port. These points are driving my choices for the digital housing. The tech assistance in Brazil for the aquatica's equipment also adds points for this housing. Cheers Fabio Amorim

Hi Ike, I forgot about this information, but I took this pict using a Roya +4 diopter. The Tokina 19-35 is far from a pro lenses and is very cheap, probably this lense doesn't work well with dome ports. I will get this set undewater next saturday and will try with +2 dipter too... I saw some good results with sigma FE 15mm housed by ikelite... maybe it will be my next buy. Thanks Fabio Amorim

anthp, I got the same problem as you with Tokina 19-35 and same dome port. I tried f8, f11 and f16 without good results. Does anyone knows more about this problem ? Best Regards Fabio
