  1. I was wondering if anyone knows what sort of sync cord I need to attach a Nikonos strobe to a Sea&Sea housing? Looking at the standard sync cords which attach the nikonos strobe to nikons camera, they look similar to the attachments on the sea and sea housing but I am unsure. Are these cords made fairly standard across brands? thanks.
  2. thanks! what does lomo-ish mean?
  3. thanks next thing is to get a flash to take pictures a bit deeper.
  4. I like your second set of shots. Ilford has hp5 and xp2 400 films, both are good, one you can get processed in c 41 (xp2) and hp5 has to be done in traditional chemicals. although it is possible to develop xp2 in traditional bw chems. You can easily develop black and white at home, its very simple. The chemicals will cost about $50 but will be able to do over 100 rolls depending on how many you process at once. Not only cheaper but you also have more control over how contrasty the film becomes. Dont even need a darkroom to develop film, although it helps a bit.
  5. nice shots. What film were you using? Seem to lack a bit of contrast, might just be due to missing exposure or the way it was scanned. Also if it was old film it might also affect how long it needed to be developed.
  6. I would like to introduce myself. My name is Fabian, I am 21 from Australia. I have been taking pictures for a few years and have got some experience with using the camera on land, where I am interested in shooting birds/wildlife, insect macro, landscape, sport (surfing, motorbikes). As well as digital I am interested in film; colour and black and white. I began scuba diving not long ago after I picked up some second hand scuba equiptment and have been using it in shallow water. I am currently using a sea&sea housing for canon film camera eos300, as this housing was quite good value as I was unsure if I should spend alot of money before knowing if I would take underwater photography very far. At the moment the film camera is working well, although I would like to use a small digital SLR in there (if anyone knows of somebody who fit a dslr in a ss cx-603 housing?). I hope to learn alot from this website and from the members who share their wisdom. Here is one of my latest pictures taken underwater on my 3rd dive with the camera. giant cuttlefish. eos 300, 50mm f/1.8 kodak max 400.
  7. Here are some of my first pictures taken underwater. I recently got an underwater slr film housing and have been using a film camera to take pictures. I hope to learn alot from this website, I have seen amazing photos here. taken with eos300 camera and 50mm f/1.8. unfortunately I have only been able to get my hands on expired film, so these are quite grainy!
  8. Hi, I am wondering if anyone could tell me if there is a digital slr which will fit into the sea & sea cx-603 housing? The housing is originally for the canon eos300 however, if there was a digital SLR that could also fit into this housing that would be excellent. If the camera fit and the shutter buton leaver worked, that is all I really need. thankyou for your help.
  9. I like these shots. I think you succeeded in making the light look natural
