My vision is going the wrong way. I can not see anymore through the viewfinder of my D7000. I am looking for a camera with the same quality but where i can see through a screen. Which camera has this at the moment, ? Which lenses and housing do you advise for WA and Macro ? Thx !

Nikon D7000 Underwater
PhotographingBlind replied to Alex_Mustard's topic in Photography Gear and Technique
Hi, This topic has started a while ago. But i red some interesting things about the live view of the D7000. I have a few questions where it would be nice to have an answer...., Especially from Alex :-) But everyone feel free. I had to converge to a full face mask; because i need to stand in communication with my buddy.(i have a visual handicap) I have an inon 45 viewfinder, but with a full face mask it is not easy to see the viewfinder. Takes the D7000 the same quality of pictures in live view and non live view, autofocus evenly good ? Is this with an external monitor the same ? Can there be mounted an external monitor to the D7000 ? Is it a good camera for video especially macro ? -

D7100 or D600
PhotographingBlind replied to PhotographingBlind's topic in Photography Gear and Technique
I did not know that it was such a fantastic camera. So a d800 in ikelite, would be much better then d7100 in aluminum housing. Or wait a year and then search for used aluminum housing ? Does the Tokuna 10 17 works with 1.4 teleconverter on the d800 ? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free -
D7100 or D600
PhotographingBlind replied to PhotographingBlind's topic in Photography Gear and Technique
At this moment i only have only Three FX lenses and two DX : Nikon 50 1.8 Nikon 60 micro af-d Nikon 70-200 F2.8 Nikon 18-105 Tokian 10-17 Fisheye. Kenk pro 300 1.4 teleconverter So i have to switch two lenses, and the 18-105 i dont use it regularly. Does the tokina work wit a 1.4 kenko teleconverter on FX ? A D800 would be awesome :-) But to much money. I saw on alexander mustard that the D800 was the most used camera on the macro lembeh workshop. Is it such a good camera ? -
D7100 or D600

Now we now we should change WA lens on FX format. But that dusn't answer my question, will the d7100 be a good bet for the coming years above and under water ? Or should i buy a secondhand d7000, i have a housing already of that one... Is the d7100 better in focusing and resolution... Or should i invest in other things then the body... -

D7100 or D600
PhotographingBlind replied to PhotographingBlind's topic in Photography Gear and Technique
I just read it. It confuses me. If I understand it, it is that nikon DX will be the more lower end consumer body's and the FX camera like the D800 is a much better choice. I'm looking for a body that at least take me six years further... -
Now that the D610 is coming out, many D600's are for sale used. Is the D7100 better choice for underwater and topside or de D600 ? Will it matter much in lens choice, i have an 60 micro Nikon and the tokina fisheye. De 60 will be just a 60mm on the d600, but on The D7100 its an 85mm. Let your thoughts go....

Sonys' new A7(r) FX mirrorless
PhotographingBlind replied to FuAn's topic in Photography Gear and Technique
So it may be that this camera has a standar mount as his fullframe brothers from nikon and canon ? Should it be possible to use the nikon prime lenses on that camera, and get the same quality? Because i heard several oeople talking on forums that they would sell there D800 if this camera is good... -
Sonys' new A7(r) FX mirrorless
PhotographingBlind replied to FuAn's topic in Photography Gear and Technique
My D7000 is broken and i'm selling my housing and have to pick up a new camera. Will the Sony 7R change photography to step over to mirorless camera ? Will it be a good underwater camera ? Do you think nauticam whil make a housing for this camera ? Are there good lenses around ?
