  1. FOR SALE: A Sigma 60mm Sony E-mount lens and Meike metal extension tube set (10+16=26mm total extension).

This set-up fits Port 72 perfectly for a very sharp macro set-up on the NEX platform. The Sigma 60 needs the extension tubes for macro and limits you to macro shooting while diving.

I've moved to the Canon EF-S system.

    Lens: $160
    Extension Tube Set: $50
Both are in mint condition and work great.

PM me and/or email me at: mcolleypublic@gmail.com

    Thanks,

  2. FOR SALE: New-never used Zeiss 12mm Sony "Touit" E-mount lens.

Still in box. Decided it was going to be too expensive to get a port and use this lens with my NEX system. I just don't shoot enough WA to justify the expense.

  6. This a custom designed fiber snoot system for Z-240 and D-2000 flashes.

What sets this system apart from the current commercial units available is the fact that it has 3 optical lines, two for each flash tube and a third for the LED modeling light. Using a snoot without a modeling light is a tricky "hit and miss" experience to what already is a difficult task of aiming your lights on small subjects, especially super-macro shots.

This system breaks down for travel and can be used as a standard flash underwater with a twist of the locking system. I used this system with 3 Z-240's, one on each side for normal lighting and the 3rd with the snoot sitting center on a mount that allowed me to simply tilt the optical snoots forward for special lighting and than out of the way for regular fill flash (see photo below).

If I needed a lot of light for wide angle work, I could easily twist the outer hub off the unit with the fiber cables, clip them to my BCD and use the Z-240 snoot flash for added fill. You could do the same with two strobes or even a single strobe set-up if you wanted to shoot regular fill flash and have a snoot when you needed it. It simply pushes onto the rear part of the unit attached to the flash the flash and locks in place with a twist.

Having a modeling light telling you where your light is going to fall makes it an enjoyable experience.

Larger optical cables are used to transmit more light efficiently. I could get good exposures at f32 if need be, but usually shot at about f11 the sweet spot.

The optical cables simply screw onto the the front faceplate. The rear section attached with the same screws you use with your Inon diffusers (they're attached with a c-clip, like the Inon diffusers, so you don't have to worry about losing them).

I'm selling because I'm paring my system down for a more compact travel rig.

Save your money and get a better snoot system at less than than half the price of a Reefnet 2 cable system.

Snoot housing and 3 optical cables for $275

THe Z-240 is strictly for demo purposes and does not come with the snoot. The long mount rod which I use for the tilt system is included.

Shipping $12.35 for USPS falt rate to anywhere in the US.

  7. Both strobes are in good condition. Selling because I'm using one Type 3 and an S-2000 for a more compact travel system.
These strobes have been well cared for and in excellent operating condition.

I also have a few optical cables for sale on other posts or can be shipped with these strobes. I've included the price below.

Willing to separate and sell a single strobe. Let me know which mount you want, as each has a different style.

Z-240's-$550 each or both for $1000.

Inon optical cables- $25 if purchased with flash. $40 separate (one has a Nauticam end on it, the other were used with S&S rubber buds)

  9. <script src="safari-extension://com.ebay.safari.myebaymanager-QYHMMGCMJR/edbb4186/background/helpers/prefilterHelper.js" type="text/javascript"> </script> FOR SALE: iTorch Pro 4 video light with 2 batteries and charger.

One of the red lights blinked out, but it way too much red; one scares the fish less. All other LED's work great with low run time on them. I purchased an iTorch Pro 6 for the UV LED's and don't need both. This is a great set-up for someone who already has one iTorch pro and wants to widen the beam for video. It's a great light and nice to have spare batteries on hand. They are also quite inexpensive if you want more.

  10. I'm seriously thinking of getting the Z50 Touit. Given it and the S16-50 kit use the same Macro 45 port (+the 30mm extension) I'm wondering if the IQ on the S16-50 is any better than the S18-55? I've read articles in both directions, all stating neither lens are really very good, both being quite soft in the corners with loads of CA.

I don't do much extreme WA (as much as the Z12 wets my dreams :-). It's been suggested to try the Z24 in my 4.33 dome (rarely used for video w/ S16 & WE/FE converters) or the more versatile Z16-70, both giving me better IQ and similar AOV as the short end of the kit in a flat port. However, after checking out the new Zeiss 16-70 set-up Ryan showed me above, it won't replace the kit's single dive versatility since it uses the 7" dome. I was hoping it was a bigger version of Port 72 when I first saw the drawing. LOL.

Any other creative ideas on lens and port use perhaps with other manufacturers? It's hard to stay up on all this stuff as much as I try.

Trying to keep a lightweight travel system from growing and not have to plan another bank job :-) LOL

Anyone have any photo shots of the Z24 and S16-50 kit lens or any opinions on them. I won't be diving for another 9 months or so, so there's time to sort things out and see the lens tests and UW results from the Z50 Touit.

    Thanks,

    Marsh

  11. I'm sure the A6000 housing will be quite popular, as the camera is an affordable 24MP high IQ body. The Zeiss 12mm WA has been declared the sharpest and highest IQ WA for UW work. I'm sure the Z50 will be right up there in IQ, maybe a bit short in length, but at least a 1:1 macro. I've suggested to Zeiss to make a sharp 1.4 E-mount TC, but I doubt that will ever happen, even though the engineer thought it was a great idea, as they do make TC's for other platforms.

Too bad Nauticam decided not to support the Z16-70 zoom that Stuart uses in his FS700. I played around with it when it first came out and wanted to use it as a versatile single dive lens to replace the 18-55 kit. It would fit into a Port 72 with a 30mm mini extension, but because it's not an internal focus lens, the port design just wouldn't cover it's AOV range. Nauticam would have had to build a fairly huge and wide custom port to do what Port 72 does for the S18-55. I finally accepted it just wasn't going to happen. Now that the NEX system is maturing for UW use, perhaps someday Nauticam willl build a semi-dome port with a swing diopter mount to work with this lens, but I doubt it.

The NEX 7 housing is fantastic with it's Tri-Nav controls. It's been a long wait, but lens are finally starting to appear for us loyal NEX users. I'm hoping to use the Z50 macro in my Port 72 with some modifications because I still love the 18-55 single dive versatility, just not it's IQ, even though it's not terrible and I've gotten by with it.

  12. I have a never used YS-01 that I bought for a fill flash hoping to replace both of my Z-240's with more compact strobes. Due to color temperature differences I've read about and desire to keep one of the 3 Z-240's, I've gone with the S-2000 instead since it has exactly the same color balance as a Z-240.

Included is the YS-01 Flash, are a used S&S OEM optical cable and iDas YS arm. Plus, a 90 degree Typel L Nauticam connector to easily modify the optical cable for their housings. Altogether they cost new $549. Get a great compact strobe and extras for $440 plus shipping.

Will separate: YS-01-$395, Optical Cable $45, iDas YS 1" ball mount-$15

  13. For Sale: iTorch Pro 4 1200 lumen light with red and white LED's. 3 levels each.

This is a really bright video and focus light with a wide spread circular beam.

In excellent condition other than one of the red LED's doesn't work. I seldom use the red and the other is so bright, the 2nd one is not necessary. You still have plenty of red light if you want.

Comes with a charger and two powerful batteries that run over at hour at full intensity. Don't get caught with a dead video light because there's no time or place to charge between dives. You can easily get more batteries if you want more.

    Cost new $499

Will sell for $285 plus shipping
