Ikelite, D800 and home made tripod
VizBiz replied to VizBiz's topic in Photography Gear and Technique
Hi - never used a lanyard - maybe I should sort that out.... Ah - built for a purpose... I want to do super macro - point to the bottom. I can get more height - just swap the legs, or add legs on with clamps. Love to try natural light wide angle too... Keep you all posted. Cheers -

Good condition. I minor mark, but not noticeable in images (see pic). RRP $164.00 Sale $105.00 AUD #5502.41 Ikelite 4.125" Flat Port For lens less than 4.125" (10.4cm) Flat Ports: For standard, macro and telephoto lenses. Due to refraction flat ports reduce the angle-of-coverage of a lens and at the same time enlarge the image. This makes the flat port ideal when using standard, macro or zoom lenses to shoot small subjects. Note that if a port is long enough to accommodate the full length of a 1:1 macro lens, the lens may vignette when used at infinity. If access to the lens' full range is desired, then select a dome port instead.

Need Recomendations on Camera Setup
VizBiz replied to Ronyx's topic in Photography Gear and Technique
Ha - I had a Nikon D300 (no video)... What started as an idea to get a second hand 300s for video, and just a new back plain for my housing needed in: Selling my D300 Selling my D300 housing Buying a D800 new Buying a D800 housing new New full frame Lens's new New ports Selling old Lens's Selling old ports And so on..... It's underwater photography, and I don't think there is an easy way. Spend as much as you can up front to get the best you can.... It is expensive to upgrade too soon again... Cheers -
