  1. ps any more constructive critiscism would be very welcome.
  2. Thankyou for your comments. Id really like to advocate the use of the 18-70mm lens. Although its the only lens I have, it was ideal for the location as I never knew what I would be photographing. The only problems I had were that it sometimes really struggled to focus, especially on fish against the blue. The shot of the Barracuda was the only one I could get despite swimming alongside it for at least 5 mins!
  3. These are my first images taken with the Nikon D70 in an Ike housing with a single DS-125 strobe . All were taken with the 18-70mm lens and a Dome port. All were taken whilst on a liveaboard in the Deep South of the Red Sea travelling to St. Johns, Fury Shoals and Wadi Gimal. Enjoy! http://www.kodakgallery.co.uk/I.jsp?c=bpxv...t&x=0&y=-6k8qrg
  4. what are the best techniques for backscatter removal? should i just open the pics in paint and airbrush them out or is there a program that will do it for me? Any help would be much appreciated Dom
  5. I have recently upgraded to a Nikon D70 in an Ikelite housing from my old Sea&Sea DX3000, though the only viable lens I have is the 18-70 with a Dome port. Is this lens only effective for wide angle shots or can it also be used for macro? Any help would be much appreciated Dom
  6. I have a nikon D70 DSLR and have been considering getting an underwater housing for it for a while now. Can Anyone give me an idea on which housing would be the best? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks
  7. hi What does anyone think about this Dugong pic. I honestly think its the best pic i have ever taken in my 3 uw photography trips. Also, how much of a difference would it make to have a digital SLR in a housing such as the D70 as opposed to my current Ricoh Caplio RR30. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks Dom http://www.clarkedje123.blinkz.com/albums/.../thumbnails.htm
  8. Hi, I have added 9 new pics to my photo album from my recent trip to the Southern Red Sea. They are the first 9 pics in the Album and are labelled with (South Red Sea). Please feel free to take a look and let me know what you think. Thanks Dom http://www.clarkedje123.blinkz.com/albums/...nails/23163.htm
  9. Hi Everyone, I'd just like to ask exactly how one would go about taking on Underwater Photography as a career and how much money would a photographer hope to earn in a year. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks Dom
  10. All the shots I have seen on this site taken facing the blue come out with that perfect transparent look. Whenever I try to do this, I end up with hundreds of red dots all over the shot and the blue just looking like a splattered wall. This happens no matter how powerful I have the strobe on and no matter how close I am to the subject. Is there likely to be something else I am doing wrong or is it just my camera (ricoh rr30 in Sea & Sea dx3000 housing)? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks Dom
  11. My first u/w gallery form my first 2 u/w photo trips is now up and running. Please take the time to have a look and tell me what you think. Thanks Dom www.clarkedje123.blinkz.com/albums
  12. I have added 3 new pages to my u/w gallery from my first 2 photography trips. Please let me know what you think. Thanks Dom http://www.clarkedje123.blinkz.com/albums/...views/23163.htm
  13. sorry, I should have specified that I meant what quality do pics have to be, and how does one go about getting images published. Thanks Dom
  14. What sort of standard do u/w pics have to be at before a magazine or any kind of publication will accept them? Dom
