  1. $300 plus shipping is ok with me. Synch cord would be additional.
  2. I have one. Will throw in a Nauticam optical synch cord for $400.
  3. Given enough time and use, they can lose power output. Mine were tested at Backscatter in California after 8 years of heavy use, and were down to 50% and 37% output. I had them refurbished, and they are much better now. WIsh I had waited for the z-330s..
  4. Good luck with that, especially since the 1D IV fits in the same housing. I have been trying to get one for months.
  5. Mine is still available: http://wetpixel.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=60793&hl=
  6. My dive buddy just got a new D500 and Nauticam housing. After putting a new dome on it, he found it would not hold a vacuum. After many hours of puzzlement, he found a dog hair on the main, not port o-ring. Problem solved, and brand new camera saved. Dove once with a guy who had a Red Epic. His housing would not hold a vacuum, but he dove with it anyway because he had "insurance". Maybe, he just wanted cash or a new camera. The housing flooded almost immediately. I have never had a flood or leak with my Nauticam vacuum system. Once, the vacuum was slowly lost, and I did not take it diving. That probably saved my camera.
  7. Very lightly used. Asking $400 US, firm, plus shipping.
  8. I have a trip coming up as well, but my one working(so far) YS-D2 is not going. The problem is that Inon is no longer making the equivalent z-240. This should be a golden opportunity for Retra to break into the market, but they are not shipping yet. I decided to have my old Inon 240-zs refurbished. They are over 10 years old with more than 1000 trouble free dives on them. They have lost some power, which was the reason I am replacing them, but some power is better than none. Backscatter tells me they should work like new after the refurbishment.
  9. Sea&Sea should recall and replace EVERY ONE of their Chinese made strobes, free of charge. THey will have no credibility or business from me until and unless they do.
  10. Also interested in dome port, zoom gear for Canon 17-35mm II and 70mm extension ring.
  11. What is your shutter speed? Strobes will not synch if it is too fast. Maybe, try it on another camera/housing if you can get access to one. On the other hand, this is a very problematic strobe model. If you become certain the strobe is the issue, I suggest you aggressively seek to have it replaced, not sent off to Japan for 6 months to get repaired.
  12. Mine died after 15 dives. Unfortunately I was not diving much and was out of warrantee. It cannot be repaired in the USA. My Inons are back in service, albeit with reduced output after 10 years of heavy use. Reduced output is better than no output.
  13. I bought a pair of YS-D2 strobes 2 years ago. Although my Inon z-240 strobes had a long and dependable life the sales rep really pushed me to try the YS-D2s. I have been working in North Dakota for the last 2 year and diving very little. The strobes had less than 25 dives, with no rapid fire use when one just died. Of course, the warrantee has expired. There are no parts to repair this strobe in the USA, and it has to be shipped back to Japan. The final cost will be almost the price of a new one. After reading about these other issues, it is apparent that this is an incredibly poor product. The company's customer support is simply abysmal. I will NEVER buy another Sea & Sea product.
  14. No ethical debate here. I'll offer you you $250 for it. Hal
  15. Works perfectly. Asking $800 for housing, not including camera or ports.
  16. Nauticam ships their housing for the Canon EOS 7D Mark II Nauticam has announced their housing for the Canon EOS 7D Mark II camera. If features a dual function lever for ISO and M Fn (focus area adjustment) and a button to allow the vacuum system to be reset from the front. It features Nauticam’s multi selector pad, and for the first time on a Nauticam housing for a Canon camera, a lever to activate or deactivate the camera’s flash. Continue Reading
  17. I have been very happy with my 70D underwater. Why pay more for land shooting features like weatherproofing and high ISO performance when you are putting it in a housing and using strobes. Hal
  18. I have that lens for land use, and don't really like it. Plus you will need a bigger dome than 6 inches. I think you will be much happier with the Tokina 10-17mm, and a 60mm macro. I use mine for video and stills with my 70D. There is no one lens that does it all, at least well.. I use the solas and strobes with a 3 way clamp. Kind of awkward, but it works. Hal
  19. My Nauticam 70D housing was available quite soon after the camera came out, no more than 3 months. Expect the same for the 7DII. Hal
