  1. Thanks for the help everyone. I really appreciate it. Don
  2. Looking to buy a used Nikon D90 setup. Thanks, Don
  3. Need replacement O-Rings for my ULCS strobe arms. Does anybody have some for sale, or know of a source for these? Thanks Don
  4. Although Grand Cayman is not a bad airport, I'll never understand why they have to set off a fog horn 10 times before they make any announcement on their PA system. I guess the airport manager must be deaf. ( He or she certainly must be by now )
  5. This thread really made me laugh. Thanks! Now I gotta ask Santa for a Photo Vest, Cargo Pants, and a new regulator necklace. Wonder what I can wear for ear rings?
  6. pre-order link is here .... http://www.amazon.com/Underwater-Photograp...E/dp/0240521641
  7. You need an eSata connection on your computer to run these eSata drives. Probably will need to buy a card to put in your laptop. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...8-011-_-Product
  8. Nikon does seem stuck in 12 mega-pixel-land. If you want to up-size your images, you might try qimage pro. http://www.ddisoftware.com/qimage/
  9. Nikon has posted some sample pictures at http://imaging.nikon.com/products/imaging/.../d3s/sample.htm No images posted at ISO 102,400. I am very curious to see those.
  10. $5000 + for a 12 megapixel camera. This thing had better be able to shoot in total darkness , and the pictures should look like they were taken in broad daylight. Otherwise, it seems rather high priced. I am sure the "pre-production" pictures will soon be posted.
  11. Almost as good as a $200 camcorder. Sorry, couldn't resist
  12. This person was not impressed with the D300s over the D300. http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/read_opini...p;opinion=43453 However, if I was going to the expense of changing a housing to fit one or the other, I'd pay the extra money for the D300s. Not really that much more money than a D300.
  13. I am sure you are right about operator error, although I am quite well versed in DSLR's and photography in general. If you love doing everything manually, and trying 3 different exposure setting for each situations, the D300 is a dream come true However, there is no doubt about the weight difference between the 2 cameras. The weight of the D300 was a huge turn-off for me. YMMV. I don't want to hi-jack this topic any more than I have, so I'll be quiet now, and sit in the corner
  14. I owned a D90 and a D300. I hated the D300. I couldn't get a decent exposure out of it. Maybe I just didn't understand it's metering, but I really hated the D300. The D90 was a far superior camera to the D300 IMHO. Plus, the D300 weighs too much. It is like carrying a brick around. The D90 beats the D300. I expect the D90 will beat the D300s as well, at least in my hands.
  15. Kind of a nasty reply for a guy with only 3 posts. Good luck getting any more replies.

  19. I was stuck in outline mode. I changed my option to Linear, and that has solved my problem. Thank you very much!
  20. When I click on a thread, I want it to automatically expand to see all posts inside. Instead I have to click on LOFI to expand to see all posts. This is driving me crazy. Is there a way around this?
  21. I'll buy 2 Iketite Strobe adapters, and 2 Sea and Sea strobe adapters. Thanks, Don
