Balage_diver replied to stuartv's topic in Lights, Strobes, and Lighting Technique
Dear all.... Just for close this case with Stuart stroy! We never tell to anybody where can he or she buy the TURTLE products. NEVER!!!!! Just offer a dealer if somebody wants to test the TURTLE and live so far from Us!!!! We did it with Stuart case. He would like to test the TURTLE and he told Us he lives in USA. That's why we offer to him two dealer (Backscatter and Bluewater) He choose one and test the product there. Not buy it just test!!!!! He bought it form bluewater.. After he started his email bomb to Us with injurious style.. about his boughted package contain. (Sorry but we could not seen what is in his box) The last point when we close all communication when he asked me about Our product! "Do you know your own products?" This is cutted from Stuart mail! It is very very insulting. Sorry Stuart, but this is the truth! This is the last post what i have written here and I will never answer in the future here in this case! Sorry! Have a great dives to every UWphotographers! -
Experience with TRT S-Turtle TTL trigger?
Balage_diver replied to stuartv's topic in Lights, Strobes, and Lighting Technique
Hi Stuart. From my side is a "bit different". But its not problem for me. We always help to Our customers who buy the TURTLE from Us or from Our dealer. But we can't see in the business between the dealer and the customer. !!!!! You asked me about your purchase what we could not answered. I think it is normal. I check all emails what you wrote and we could answer all technical question before you bought the product from Bluewater. That's all what we can do. Sorry, but we didn't know what happened between the dealer and the customer this is not Our side. i write it again. All purchases belong only to the buyer and seller. Every information is on Our website about the products, may be there is technical or just shipping info. Fortunately we got so many positive emails from Our customers who use the TURTLE products. Usually got pictures or just some good words. So also here i would like to say thank our customers for the positive words Well.. I hope you can find a correct trigger to your setup. Experience with TRT S-Turtle TTL trigger?
Balage_diver replied to stuartv's topic in Lights, Strobes, and Lighting Technique
Dear Stuart, You asked me to give you a dealer in USA and We did it as i remember well. I can show you the emails what you have written. If you would have bought the TURTLE directly from Us the rules could have given you the refund possibility. But sorry we never tell the dealer which refund policy would be perfect with their customers. By the way the D3 is a wrong way! They have very poor quality sensor So if you would have asked me which strobe is the perfect novadays we could have mentioned to you numerous types. Please in the future don't write non real negative informations about Our firm in these forums. Thank you for your understanding. Balazs Kurucz Owner of TRT-Electronics -

I forget one more plus point to Retra Pro. The HSS!!! This is the only one strobe in the market which works in HSS mode with LED triggers manual mode.- 52 replies

Inon z330 vs retra pro
Balage_diver replied to deliamaria's topic in Lights, Strobes, and Lighting Technique
Hi. If you like TTL photo shooting with led triggers the Inon Z330 is better than the Retra Pro. The Inon series has really sensible photosensors in the strobe and in TTL mode the Inon more accurate then the Retra. But.... If you like the manual shooting i think the Retra Pro is the best choice in the market nowadays. I have both strobe for testing! But i usually use the Retra PRO because i love the Retra snoot technology. The second point for Retra pro the circle tube and the special glass of front which makes perfect illumination! I forget the Sea and Sea line because that's had so many problems with tube and warranty policy.- 52 replies

Hi There. Yes You are right . This was a historical question. When we developed the TURTLE family first two members the Canon and the Nikon was the leader of the market in the UW photographers. After one year we saw the SONY is coming with their MILC full frame bodies. ...And we pushed the Sony decoding and announced the first Sony at 2018. At last not but least the last decision was the olympus line decoding. . If you need more information i recommend the TURTLE BLOG. We try to share so many useful informations about technology or just some competition or trip. https://www.trt-electronics.com/blog/ Regards Balazs

Hi. It depends on the usage. I say the TURTLE knows approx 1500 pictures with one charge, but some users said it works one week with one chagre. If you slide on the hotshoe the TURTLE and also switch on the cam and the TURTLE . There is a BAT text of the back of TURTLE and a LED which is blinking if the batter is 10-15%. Regards Balazs

HSS Retra Strobe
Balage_diver replied to Interceptor121's topic in Lights, Strobes, and Lighting Technique
Dear all! We tested the s-TURTLE SMART(SONY) and the i-TURTLE SMART(NIKON) with RETRA PRO in HSS mode. BTW in TTL too! The result was great! The Sony A7R2 1/8000. , The Sony A6000 1/4000 and the Nikon D7100 knows the 1/8000 shutter speed. We will make a blog in Our website soon how works the HSS and why need the Retra Pro to use it. Here is the links to the results: Sony A6000. with Seafrogs saltedline housing: Sony A7R2 And last not but least the i-TURTLE SMART (nikon) controlled Retra PRO strobe results. If you need more info please write us! Regards Balazs Kurucz -
Dear Thomas, I would like to tell you some informations about the TURTLE products. First of all the o-TURTLE works with Olympus system. If you would like to use the sony line to Sony A6000 series your choose would be the s-TURTLE SMART Mobie version. This type works with all Sony system A 6000 to A7 series. https://www.trt-electronics.com/shop/s-turtle-mobie-smart-ttl-trigger-for-sony-systems/16/ We made this type with small cable not built in hotshoe. The cause of this the space above the camera hotshoe. Compare: The biggest difference the UW technics trigger and Our products is the battery type. As i know the UW technics use CR2032 battery which is changeable. We prefer the LIPO cell which is chargeable. If you need more information please don't hesitate to write us the support@trt-electronics.com mail. Regards Balazs

Hi. I have been using the 8-15mm Canon Fisheye with metabone in Sony A7R2 last year. The results are great. Fantastic views in 8 mm and perfect pictures all range. I've tested F4 to F22.... I know this is not a cheap way , but in sony system thats the best way i think.

Turtle Trigger for Olympus
Balage_diver replied to Diver4fun's topic in Lights, Strobes, and Lighting Technique
Hi Wapiti, Yes you are right. We had a problem with the old type printed housings ,but the new SMART series built from ABS plastic. Please check the website for any infos or if you need more technical details, just write to Us: support@trt-electronics.com https://www.trt-electronics.com/shop/o-turtle-smart-ttl-trigger-for-olympus-and-panasonic-systems/1/ Regards Balazs -
If you would like to use TTL function the max shutter speed is 1/250 in a7 series. The A 6000 series max is 1/160. The High speed sync in TTL mode is not preferred. If you want use it over 1/250 You have to set the strobe max power and reduce the light with aperture and iso. Thats the only right way. I think there is not high speed flash in the underwater market.

Im join the club. I have a robbed tube D2 old and the second has electrical problem. Nobody answerd any mail from Sea and Sea! But we would like to repair those. After i bought a new D2J and tested that. The results is frustrating. The strobe does not work under 1/64. The sensor is very very poor quality. The second problem: If there are two prefelash in the expo , (Oly, or Nikon) the strobe signed the expo was correct but the 3rd flashing is not work because the expo was done with the second preflash and the strobe goes standby. Does anybody has same situation? Balazs..

Dear Dave, The TURTLE can works approx 30 dives. At the last may we werein Bali and we take 200 pictures /dive and 4 dives/day. The TURTLE was charged only two times at two weeks. The strobes: Inon series, IKELITE Ds 125/160, Sea and SeaD1, D2 ,SUBTRONIC etc. If you have any question, just write me. support@trt-electronics.com Regards Balazs
